The Ange at Tottenham Thread

I see Rugari has stated that ' .... it will be proven that Tottenham have made a massive mistake'.

Proving a negative is VERY difficult.

so where to now for Ange? I see him as somewhere near equivalent to Russell Martin. Although the latter is much younger and has room to improve, he's still having to step down a level to find work.

Anything apart from another Premier League team.

You remember the coach who won Chelsea a UEFA Champions League, and he got the sack the next season, and was never heard of again (went into a club desk job).

There really aren’t any Prem teams that suit him imo. I think he would have been a great fit for Brighton and they had a disappointing run in but they’ll stick with Hürzeler for sure, he’s still very young.

Would love to see him at a club like Ajax, Porto or RB Leipzig. All 3 clubs looking to re-establish themselves.

He was at least given the start of the next season..

But also - I have no idea what you mean about never heard of again and going into a club desk job. Only two have won with Chelsea - one being Roberto Di Matteo - who went on to manage a couple other clubs before winding up in South Korea.
The other is now the England manager…

Where should Ange go next?

I feel like the sentimental picks might be Liverpool (wont happen), AEK or the Greece national team.

I kinda hope he stays in the prem somewhere else.

As an aside, it would be amazing to have him in an advisory role for the FA in some capacity.

Home to coach South in the nsd. Everyone would struggle to bag us just like they had to pretend to like Spurs lol.

Will probably be Greece, Will allow him to live there an trips to Europe to watch players is not such a big deal.

Their current coach has great record though but he aint even Greek!

One of the clubs that dropped down might be an option as they will be able to play Ange's style then bounce right back up but not sure he would be keen on that.

I think an Ajax, Porto, Benfica etc type of club suits him.

Realistically he is probably going to get a decent opportunity in Europe, Greece is pointless.

Would probably get an offer in mls but i think he is done with plastic leagues.

Greek second division would be more realistic. Ange's ego might be too big to take a second div job though. He might consider MLS.

Cyprus also realistic.
