I'm mainly hoping for knights, sydney united, adelaide city and marconi since 90% of the golden generation was through them. Maybe lightening strikes twice? (Marconi and sydney u are already in)

I'm hoping souths make the oceania cup and the nst so i have a team to cheer for in the club world cup

I have it on good authority that the Bergers initially were waiting to see how it plays out bc the buy in guarantee was "ridiculous" and not much info was given to clubs about the overall set up.. now that they have a pathway via highest finish if they can get it they will assess it post comp... if the criteria has infact been reduced they would be looking at applying for permanent spot yes!

that sounds like they won't submit an rfp then if it requires 500k

Conversation I had today with stakeholder was that nothing has changed from that statement regarding the NST but that there was discussion of expansion and thats all. I get he couldn't say much but I didn't get any impression that things are as progressed as they should be... hopefully I read it wrong.

that sounds a worry. I guess I assumed the eois were people who would be willing to front up the 500k

I think the devil is in the details as with bergers, most clubs can afford it but aren't willing to part with it upfront with risk of losing it all if it buckles beneath them or pans out something altogether different so they remain cautious... its down to assurances really and some clubs have deeper pockets.
