My guess is the Championship will be a one off and wont happen again.

i guess its up to everyone to go out there and support it, but if we dont get support from the powers to be, then can the whole thing.

Yeah I'm pretty much expecting the 2026 "version" to be the NPL national finals tournament again....

Oh well, it was fun while it, almost, lasted....

TBH whilst suit JJ was at the helm he quoted and knew to motion aligning the eco system so his suit wasn't against for the majority in the game despite what devanna feels personally on another front :)
We finally had a football background leader over the game whereas past/current AL never cared but themselves and look how thats turned out.
I get where your coming from MCG despite what I typed above.

If the championship doesn't go anywhere after this season then I'd fully support a breakaway league. Not to be dicks about it, but to just let the clubs have a crack at want they desire! It could be harder or easier without FA's input, but give them a chance. What if it works?!! We'll never find out by sitting on our hands.

No FA support means no FIFA approval means NO players will join mate..... its gone... just like that in a puff of smoke :cry: :cry:

Yeah I probably shouldn't have used "breakaway" in that sense. They'd still need FA approval, but I meant no financial support nor burden from FA. Clubs run and are responsible for the league entirely, just under the FA umbrella (for refs and licencing etc.)

I don’t think there’s any financial assistance from FA but there is a debt owed by the APL from the unbundling process.

Good luck with that.

The only reason NSD is viable is because the flights & accom are being subsidized.

APL are also claiming that FA owe them cash. Interesting times.

Yeah but some NST clubs have mooted some monster sponsors. Naming and broadcast from memory. Could be all talk but at least let them try.
