Would have been good if theyd been a bit more curious and probed a bit more with their questions and not let him off the hook so easilyGeez that doesn't sound good for a league format. Anter is locked in saying only 8 clubs are capable.

Worth a listen guys
It was indeed an incredible interview and yes it does sound like if not for football queensland kicking them out we have an nst home and away by now. Qld restructuring their voting system to centralize power also looks....a choiceJust listened to this on the way to an appointment and its left me fuming...... In summary , state feds are little fiefdoms, caring more about their congress votes and self perceived power than actually getting off their arses and developing a proper football ecosystem in this country ... hiding behind the mantra of 5 WC qualifications in a row.... boo hoo the bloody NSL was bad for business.....
Reading between the lines ol mate Melvin is in it from a bit of a self aggrandising position himself but a few things he said resonated.
1) Its NOT just the old efnikz who agree that disbanding the NSL and throwing away the baby with the bathwater was a dumb idea
2) Football QLD re-structuring the competition was a way to control votes and had NOTHING to do with football development
3) Sunshine Coast were told they were invited into the NSD and passed all the criteria with flying colours .. in fact it almost sounds like they where begged to join.
and the worse thing (for me) in all of this. is that the ONLY thing that is preventing it is that Football QLD will NOT let their junior teams play in the Football QLD leagues ... no wonder they are flying players to England.... they are just doing what a football club is supposed to do...... sure they are probably making a profit from it but if there is no other league that will take them what else?
Interesting that they are looking to bring an English junior league here in 2027 and looking to offer it Australia wide (already have interest from other clubs apparently) watch this space FA is going to get mighty shitty with anyone jumping onboard this breakaway system...
So mad at FA governance now... even some English bloke that landed here 10 years AFTER the NSL dissolved reckons things where better then......
JPL is a "foreign" league NOT under FA from my understanding .... I reckon it will burn bridges with Football AUS completely ... hope Im wrong. It was indeed an incredible interview and yes it does sound like if not for football queensland kicking them out we have an nst home and away by now. I believe they are bringing in the jpl next season and available to join the nst in 2027 if asked
which would be crazy since we haven't had a home and away nyl for 12 of the last 20 yearsJPL is a "foreign" league NOT under FA from my understanding .... I reckon it will burn bridges with Football AUS completely ... hope Im wrong.

I cant see, chance of a copy paste dude?
Awesome thanks mate. The $500k bank guarantee was refunded in recognition of the significantly lower costs of a champions league model vs full H/A season
Our source had been given no indication the competition was ending because of the refunded guarantee
H/A season cost was estimated at over $1mil. Champions league model well below $500k for a season.
Another RFP will open with the goal of adding more clubs in 2 years’ time
Broadcaster announcement is close, we were told within 2 weeks, and it will be on a streaming service
No entry fee this season, next season is expected to be under $50k
FA will create a transfer window after the NPL season for AusChamp clubs to sign players
Stan would be amazing... Think Channel 9 doing a football belongs series like Optus did a few years back.... hahahahThey also said that the streaming service WON'T be YouTube, and suggested Stan or P+.
