Now that the season is done, what would everyone like to see occur next season?? On-field and off-field, doesn't matter, just anything to improve the league.

I'll kick us off:

- Brisbane move some games to Perry Park
- Western United put a shovel in the ground
- Continued development of Under 20s throughout the season, as we have seen in the last few years
- Next licence allocated and a timeframe confirmed
- Melbourne City announce new stadium in South east
- Perth push towards finals, get back to big club status
- Unite round canned

Tv deal gets negotiated right?

Id like more clarity on finances and id like a youth league. If the a league clubs cant afford it see if there are a mix of a league and nst clubs that can put togethera nyl

- Unite round scrapped
- Canberra confirmed for the following season
- Open home/away draw for Australia Cup (Round of 32 and up)
- Paramount graphics to change finally
- More analysis and actual debate over coaching/tactics - how did Ufuk not get challenged all year by the media?

More player interviews. Not pre and post match but during the week on podcast and shows no idea how the players get out of media duty when others are doing it

A proper home and away season. You play everyone once and then you play them away. In the same order.

How hard is it?
Yeah that's a big one and try space the games out home away home away home etc

Pipe dream but ………………. ;)

A League to be disbanded in its place 2 Conference Leagues

NZ, QLD, NSW (8 current A league teams + 4 NPL teams)

VIC, SA, WA (5 current A league teams + 7 NPL teams)

That’s 2 x 12 team conference leagues (22 Games based on H&A)

Top 4 from each Conference league – Play off for Grand Final

Really like all these.

The deal with Destination NSW was for 3 years, which is now over. Interesting to see if it gets renewed or if it gets shopped around to other states. Without the gov funding, it would be difficult to justify continuing with it, as on it's own would be a net loss.

Good pipedream KK - importantly what others should be wishing for to OPEN up our game for the bigger picture.
Paramount graphics ?
Canbra ? you want another franchise that will struggle after the honeymoon.

Optimistic as it is but respect from the media and authorities, and they actually educate themselves about the sport because it’s too ignorant of them to do this and no wonder nothing changes.

Otherwise another suggestion would start in August as the off season is too long.

The problem is, is that the average Australian is only conditioned to a six- or seven-month season. Look how the crowds fall off a cliff, just over the 4-to-5-month mark.

It works for the nrl/afl but the problem is it doesn’t work for football as it’s a global game, we may have to accept smaller crowds if we want a longer season.

Our actual crowds stack up well globally, the major problem is we play in stadiums which are too big.

The in-order bit doesn't really happen anywhere these days, that i know of.
I dont think its so much the "in order" bit but a balanced h and a draw is at least the bare minimum if the APL wants to pretend it cares even slightly about sporting integrity... Unless you play each and every team the same amount of times as all of your rivals do then any points accumulated are unfair...

Pretty much all Aleague focussed for me:
Roar to employ and pay fulltime support staff.
Valkanis to be allowed to build and manage the team properly.
Perry Park to be upgraded and we start to move there.
Roar men to play good football.
Roar men to play finals football.
Canberra in set.
Tassie in set.
Another Queensland team in set.
Longer season with equal home and away against all teams - more teams required for that since we can't play everyone twice home and away.
Auckland to hold their support numbers.
Melbourne City to increase support numbers significantly on the back of good football and GF result.
Adelaide to continue their trend of good football with youth exposure post Veart.
Serious commitment to some form of promotion into the league to boost team numbers.
Ignoring crowd numbers in opening the game up to include more regions and to include promotion.
Corica and Talay to stop whinging.

Not every league in the world has a balanced season these days. Countries with smaller populations are going with splits these days. In Scotland for example, everyone plays each other 3 times, and then the league splits into two groups of six, playing each team one more time.
