WA Government To Fund NRL

If Perth Glory thought the HBF Park fees were high now, wait until it's upgraded with all those shiny new corporate boxes.

I could be wrong but didnt Rugby try and fail in Perth before?
They did, but then the super league war happened, and the Western Reds were one of the casualties. Only lasted 2 seasons.

Generally speaking, the average Perthite doesn't follow RL, but I imagine they'd probably manage to draw current Perth Glory-level crowds if they did introduce a new team (after the initial honeymoon period)

Yep done before and during the media ownership war.
Hence Storm survived.
Geyer was one the big signings for Perth.
Was always going to fail for the ARL gained control again.
WA Gov being sucked in for the honeymoon click bait ticket sales.
Be interesting if it lasts.
SOO played there gets sold out but even melbon does that 😀

HBF upgrades are pretty huge here, meaning more coporate boxes for the glory to try and sell

with Glory moving to that new training base in Mirrabooka it was only a matter of time until the NRL moved in to snatch up the Perth market

I don't know that Glory training in Mirrabooka has any relevance to the NRL putting a team in Perth.
