Just a shameful complacent display. Idiotic we've put ourselves in this situation.
 
What was Popovic even trying to achieve? The players don't look comfortable in the formation. It's not about quality as they all do very good things at club level. Just too complacent hoping the chance will come. We weren't proactive enough. A massive chance goes begging to create a buffer and now the calculations start new again.
 
We look one dimensional can't put a pass together or a move lack of urgency and can't break a team open. From upfront to midfield very dire.
 
I think the McGree chance was a Miller handball and maybe offside.

We need to turf that back 5, get another midfielder in and play some more progressive players.
 
I was expecting this result without Goodwin in this lineup.

without him we mIgnt not even beat Lebanon and China at home.
 
Pretty much just looked like the same coaching style as Graham Arnold tonight. Extremely dull display. we lacked intensity and imagination going forward.
 
Borello needs to be dropped after that pathetic effort. I still can't believe he didn't shoot.
 
I often change my mind watching first watch to second watch but here are my preliminary thoughts

1) We look better playing out through geria, but better lofting the ball forward from souttar and burgess. Often we ended up lofting the ball through geria and gauci who are less effective. The two times we lofted it forward through burgess and souttar we set up a chance
2) miller is super shakey....unfortunately could be our best player for a while. We are probably producing better 9s though duke created a lot of chances through his work rate
3) never seen a defender pocket bos like that. Credit where credit is due, though bos is returning from injury
4) in the end you have to convert your chances. We had the chances, we didn't take them and were lucky to avoid a sucker punch

It would have been nice to have Irankunda, Toure, Iredale or Stama in the squad. What was Popovic thinking leaving them in Europe.
 
Unfortunately I missed the second half, but in the first 20-25 minutes of the first half we lost every one on one challenge. Nowhere near enough strength on the ball, which has historically one of our strengths.

Also, we can’t play out from the back against a team that presses high with Gauci in goal. His handling speed with the ball at his feet is very slow, i.e., he takes a long time to get his pass away. His longer kicking under pressure is not good either.
