Correct re: IND and BHR. A draw for them in the overnight will mean 6 pts up on both, so a draw would guarantee us at least the next stage (I believe) should we fail to qualify directly.

This set up should essentially mean a draw against Saudi will guarantee us qualification (obviously there’s other calculations that still means it’s not 100% guaranteed, but that would be very unlikely)

I've done a lot of calculating. The H2H situation coming that'll cancel maximum points may come into play too. Bahrain still seem like they'll linger should they win in Indonesia. Really hope that gane shortly ends goalless.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one pissed off by that. It's a WCQ, why play games?

Head to head in which way? As FIFA qualifiers, head to head isn’t the primary tiebreaker as is normally the case with AFC.
Should be goal difference, then goals scored if memory serves correct
 
Really impressive half. We've been great. Boyle and Borrello sub-par, but everyone else pretty hard to fault.
 
Someone go back in time the loss against bahrain and boldly proclaim that our solution to the lack of goals is Vellupilay
 
Mostly good first half

not clinical enough in transition and struggling to secure the ball during periods of contested possession
 
I like it that our wide forward pass is no longer straight to the winger or wing back. We hit it forward to the inverted forwards who look for the wing backs or a CM.
 
I can't get the numbers right. Would a Saudi point in Japan even matter?

The 4 point gap actually means they'd need to win the last 2 games as our GD is way ahead.
 
its ok - 2up away HT is massive advantage as long as they keep on the pedal and keep mistakes down.
The resumption next 10/15 coming up we have to go hard.
 
What do you think the pressing trigger is this game @grazorblade? Borello and Velupillay doing a lot of communicating. When one goes the other does too and aggresively.
