Graham Arnold was impressed by Al-Shorta’s Bassam Shakir while watching the league games, he was amazed as to why this player wasn’t used under the previous management.

Another highlighted name was Sajad Jassim.

Anything possible with Arnold. Could be nothing or could be an immediate miracle. Iraq football is still on a lot of shaky ground with cliques that they'll make rash coaching calls.

Okon-Engstler is the best on the ball under pressure and has the best technique and passing range. That said doing it at a much lower level. I think his ceiling is the highest if he can get out of Benfica.

Looks like the best 6 we have playing out and he seems to be the best in tight area's. Well what I saw from u20 asian cup anyways. The other two seem more like BWMs.. although Triantis has good ball carrying.

Technically we would still be waiting on the result of the Bahrain - Saudi Arabia match to know for sure but I agree a win would probably put us 95% of the way there.
