Oh and just because you like to add a little addendum - long after your comments have been replied too. it wasn't "za left" that propped up the Shah and his effeminate offspring to begin with sunshine, it was the Republicans ....
7 minutes and it was before your reply

once again you've been caught out lying

Craig Foster chiming in on this is fucking pain. Going on about international law and human rights violations but if he really cared, he could bang on about those living under oppression every single day. Had something earlier in the week about the struggles of people in SE and that Australian has ample resources to bring them in. Bloke is delusional.

Too woke?

A bit unfair.

I don't particularly like him but he is pretty selfless and unwavering in his support and dedication of time to people and causes. He can't literally advocate for every single individual cause. That's impossible.

He gets a lot of grief because he cares about people which is a bit weird.

I can only assume it's because they think he's virtue signalling or bringing uncomfortable subjects front of mind.

He picks and chooses his outrage when there are others he'll simply ignore. If he cared so much, why not daily reminders of the oppression Hamas puts their people under?

He dodges the uncomfortable side from his own identity politics. Heaven forbid he campaign against anyone fighting the west or Israel (who I really don't care for).

I agree we need people to campaign to eradicate racism in our society yet if someone campaigned about crime in Western Sydney, it's suddenly racist or pigeon holing despite the fact it's staring one in the face. Like Juice Media, they speak in generalities against the side they don't like. OK, now do parralel societies, unsustainable immigration, hypocrisy of the Greens.

These people chirp on about the injustices in the world without any inner reflection of the groups they shield.

What do people know and think about John Stossel? I can see he has something of a conservative leaning from time to time but presents most things in a very balanced, more objective way.

I think part of it is because people already know Hamas can be shits. There's plenty of people already telling us. He appears to stand up for those without a voice. Either way you slice it IMO he is trying to make a difference out in the real world.

Should he also comment on the Sudanese crisis, the Venezuela troubles, the arrest of Duterte? Anything else to make sure he's not offending someone?

It reiterates how selective these activists are in their focus and outrage. If it's anti Israel then it's great. Never mind all the inner quarrelling of their so called allies.

Sudan is one that's absolutely ignored.

I still don't understand your outrage.

The logic seems to be don't post about something unless you post about everything.

don't think its about having to carry on about everything but only stand up through the media when issues ubbled to the top, my understanding JS96 is quoting where are you when issues are not in the headlines.
Correct JS ?

Craig Foster, the former Socceroo and human rights activist, has been vocal about the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, particularly highlighting the displacement of millions due to the ongoing conflict. He has spoken out against the use of starvation as a weapon of war and the dire situation faced by displaced people in Sudan and neighboring countries.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Displacement Crisis:
Foster has emphasized the staggering number of internally displaced people (12 million) and refugees (4 million) in Sudan, making it a major displacement crisis.

  • Starvation as a Weapon:
He has drawn attention to reports that warring factions in Sudan are using starvation as a tactic, putting 2.5 million people at risk of starvation.

  • Global Implications:
Foster connects the Sudanese crisis to the broader issue of global displacement, exacerbated by conflict, racism, and climate change, which he says are driving an increase in the number of people forced to flee their homes.

  • Call for Action:
He urges the international community to take action, including strengthening sanctions, providing aid, and working towards justice and reparations for the victims of the conflict.

It's the selective outrage and they don't dare touch the subject of how places could be without Hamas and the Mullahs. It's obvious they're mucking up but the protest groups would much rather point the finger in one direction rather than look inward at how the groups governing the oppressed are a massive part of the problem. Foster is certainly a more rational type but he toes a fine line in order to secure support from those most passionate about his causes.

I meant Sudan from a world view. It's stuffed under the rug compared to the other issues.

He has annoyed the shit out of me, but I think he's making a difference in the community and there are far more obvious people who are virtue signalling

At the end of the day, doing something is better than nothing

yeah but also with places like that, not only is it far, but it's nearly impossible to get outside coverage of the issue because travel and technology are not practical
