Worst Movie Ever Watched

Imagine having an opinion on a movie in a thread about 'worst movies'.

Quelle horreur.

Writing as Richard Bachman, The Running Man is another King story that did not transfer well into the movies. I watched and enjoyed it when it came out but the movie script only bears a few similarities to the book.
One of the worst examples of this sort of thing is The Counselor that was written by Cormac McCarthy.

He wrote it as a script specifically to be put in a movie however looks like he had to much creative control over the final script because it was transcribed word for word into the movie & it just sounded pretentious. The movie had Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem & Penelope Cruz so a pretty stellar cast but the words coming out their mouths just sounded awkward. Long, droning, boring, pretentious monologues about philosophy & history in a drug cartel movie was just bullshit. Sometimes you just have to tell the writer to fuck off and let the professional script writers take over.

I loved the "pisstake" movies of the late 90s, early 00s ; The Scary Movie series, Not another Teen Movie, etc.

Went into this one thinking it was going to be the same style of movie.
Well, technically it was, but without any of the humor - it was just so flat I kept waiting for the punchline and it never happened.
eg: In Meet the Parents, there's a joke about a cat flushing the toilet (and people not believing it was the cat). This movie's version of that joke was literally 30 seconds of a cat (hand puppet) making faces while it takes shit. That's it. That was the joke.

It's the closest I've ever come to walking out of a movie.

Honourable (dishonourable?) mentions to Goal 3, and Cut (Aussie movie)

Love both the book & the movie, but the only thing they have in common is the title and the name of the main character.
