Worst Movie Ever Watched

Why?

They have tacked on a disclaimer up front I believe that says they're reflective of the times.
Perfect. Good to know. I will pass this info on to my aboriginal friend.

I saw this horror film called Australia in Bahrain. It start well and the ending was minimally satisfactory. It was so slow throughout but then these crazy special effects happened about 15min before the end and I was stunned.
I recall seeing it vaguely, it was meh I'm sure of that lol....
TBH so many Aussie films have been woeful.

There was this great Japanese/Australian hybrid almost 20 years ago that got some plaudits at this German festival, I can't remember the name of it though..

Remember watching about 3 minutes of a movie then frisbeeing it. Constant gardener or something. Most pretentious shit I ever saw in my life besides anything within a 600m radius of the Napier building at Adelaide uni

ah is that the one that he was a crim or ex bikie that became a cop informant and shagging the lady of the house ?

Oh yes. How fat is the main character from the first 2 movies in the third one.

I laughed out loud.
For me, it was the replacement of live action scenes for green screen. Also the random inclusion of new characters who no one liked and then one of them just randomly dies lol.

So bad.

Really? Man I loved that movie.

Those scenes in the ballroom with the barman & guy who "corrected" his family are creepily amazing.
Mate, The Shinning is one of my all time favourite movies So is First Bllod for other reasons :) ), Kubrik is a genius and visually the movie is as close to perfection as you would want... It differs in both message and lots of details to the original novel by Stephen Kingis my point... In fairness, its one of the very rare examples where both novel and movie are equally brilliant for different reasons.

Writing as Richard Bachman, The Running Man is another King story that did not transfer well into the movies. I watched and enjoyed it when it came out but the movie script only bears a few similarities to the book.

Yeah nothing like the novela at all.... The one story I always wanted to see on screen was the long walk (I think its from the same collection of stories that had Rita Haworth and the Green Mile, Apt Pupil and The body.... all made into movies....

I was going to mention The Long Walk too as a very unusual concept story but thought it a bit out there for most people. Such a simple story line but he can write it to keep you enthralled. I cannot see that one ever making it to the big screen - unless it is purely as a character piece for a niche film market.
