Genuine question, I'm interested in how people reconcile between him being selected for U21 Italy squad and saying that he'll never be near good enough to play for senior Italy team. Logically surely if he's good enough to qualify for U21 team ahead of so many others, the idea of him being good enough to play for senior team one day is not so far fetched, in which case maybe him holding out for that to occur if that's where his heart lies is not so unreasonable.

you never say never, but he seems to be following the trajectory of the next bresciano more than the next del piero. Having said that, looking at italy's current squad it doesn't seem that outrageous for him to make it

He was a locked in Socceroo but there was media chatter about Italy sniffing around Bresciano's eligibility back in the day.
