Lion City Sailors Vs Sydney FC

Going to be a fight again, not sure how a Singporean side covinced 3 current top flight Netherlands players and Bailey Wright to join them. Their new Spanish left back looks quality too.

This Singapore team has had a good run of form lately. Should be an interesting game. It wouldn't be a Sydney FC match though if they didn't concede a couple of goals.

As a longtime and typically frustrated fan of the game in Australia I can often look past rivalries and old grudges for the greater good and want to see the Aussies do well, in the hope that the game itself would be a winner.

This is definitely not one of those moments.

Big game, every point for the coefficient helps so not only is qualifying important, but winning is useful too

Have a soft spot for all things Singapore.

Once upon a time, BACK IN THE DAY, our expat league side played against one of the S-League sides in a trial.

1 nil for the Lions at HT.

They've just come off drenched in sweat. Exactly how I remember it. Nightmare fuel. Currently 27 degrees, 87% humidity.
no disaster yet, sydney have looked dangerous at times and that kinda sucks conceding a goal like that

2-0, keeper beaten from a narrow angle

between this and the u17s it looks like one of those weeks in football

Both goal scorers are eredivisie veterans and in their primes
Didn't realise they were that good on paper

close, but you can kinda feel as a fan when a team isn't mentally right and goals just won't go in

A lot of aimless aerial balls into the box today. Been pretty poor showing and the scoreboard could be worse to be honest
