Really not a good time to rock the boat. JJ was very positive and progressive, too.

Sign Up Now!I’m not sure but the 8 clubs were having meetings last year and JJ wasn’t always there the Sydney guys on here will probably know moredo you know who else on the board is pro nst and working on it?
the old guard had to wait 32 years to make the world cup with lots of heart breaking near missesTis going to be worrying times re championship as far as I’m concerned.
Our history and current situation just looks shaky now that the rudder has cut adrift.
Huge fingers crossedwhoever takes the reins has the balls and know how to keep going ahead !
I think we are back to "IF" it happens not "When"....the old guard had to wait 32 years to make the world cup with lots of heart breaking near misses
perhaps there will be 32 years of waiting before they are finally no longer blocked from the national stage again and this is another iran 97, where it feels right on the verge only to be cruelly snatched away at the last minute
on the plus side there will be some nice documentaries when it finally happens
There you go whoever takes over hopefully doesn’t destroy the hard workI think he was away in Asia for meetings a few times. Might have been that same time?
yeah maybe I'm being too negative, just a bit worried because I do perceive the board structure of the fa to be one where the apl have a lot of influenceA lot of ‘glass half empty’ people on here.![]()
Former Matildas player Heather Garriock is now interim chief exec, per Football Australia. Not sure what's going to happen to NST though but hopefully things don't end up going pear-shaped.There you go whoever takes over hopefully doesn’t destroy the hard work
This is EXACTLY what Im worried about too.The conspiracist in me says .......& just like that, "they" can collapse the whole project without needing to do anything more than just leaving the idea as a champions league format for "the near future" with as many white walled promises as they can mustre, till any funding to keep it alive goes to the APL and its cronies..
It comes with following this ridiculous game here .... we can never have anything nice.A lot of ‘glass half empty’ people on here.![]()
Not a BAD option.Brendan Schwab mentioned as well. Quite a history with our game. Here are his thoughts from 15 years ago about FFA:

Our Game Might Not Get a Second Chance
PFA Chief Executive Brendan Schwab spoke to Craig Foster this week about the key issues impacting Australian football. Read on for the article in full. The full article from Craig's column in The Sydney Morning Herald is below. Important questions have been raised, or exposed, about Football...pfa.net.au
It's business speak, pure and simple. Its statements like these which are pretty much "read into it as you will" that will be the problem with most candidates and all, us on the sidelines...
Most having a longer history with the game in this country, we cant be blamed for our pessimism, only difference is this can have the potential of an even bigger divide, if it fails again bc it will turn to pure anger and dismay, but this time it will be for the last time, and I dont see the game recovering from losing the old guard for good.. I for one dont follow the aleague now or ever did, but even i will stuggle to mustre the will to even follow NPL after a possible colapse of this.
On a sidenote mind you, for me any well worded catch power phrase type promises that are made, arent enough to convince me, unless there is an actual stipend for h&a timeline in the near future, this is the only perspective candidates platform i can see as reliable.
