C'mon Co-efficency!!

Noting the position of SH on their ladder I wonder if they'll play a full strength team.

Reports are, they are concentrating on their last three league games, as they have effectivley already qualified for the next phase.

Is this game on tv? cant see it on paramount

Lots of missed opportunites from sfc which can cost u at this level

sydney created a ton of chances and should have had 2 pens

but I just never felt they would score

not usually a fan of this sort of comment, but somethign about their body language was off today

I didn't see all 3, but I didn't think the shouts on either Burgess or Grant were a pen (the two I did see). I appreciate the commentators were convinced the Burgess one was a penalty, but I thought the defenders arm over the shoulders was no different to Burgess doing the same thing to him in order to get the front position. The camera angle from behind the goals told a fairly different story to the half way camera (in my view).

It was a good game to watch.

I know Sydney lost but gee they play a nice style of football almost foreign to Oz football especially in Asia.

A style which showcases the technical level of the players more which is more relational rather than the usual structural positional way which our teams usually follow.
But it made them more effective when they got into the final third and created some very good chances against a strong opponent.

Again they should have gotten a least a point like the last game but their keeper had a great game plus it seems they had a stonewall penalty taken away but overall I haven’t seen an Australian team play a style which makes them effective in possession and can showcase the technical level more than this Sydney team.
If anything they matched them technically which got me by surprise.

It shows their is another way of playing which can help Oz football and its players especially when competing in Asia.

Quintal for Sydney looked great as well and shows Sydney fc’s production line isn’t slowing down.

Put it this way Oz teams rarely beat Japanese sides so is there some sort of mental block because the quality they played in those 2 games is very good.

I can’t recall the last time an Oz team would create those chances against a Japanese side like they did in those 2 games, usually it would be the opposite and we hang for a result.

I reckon Quintal was the best player out there when he came on - great technically & can stick a pass. His dribble & cut to Burgess, should've been the equaliser - but a great save.
