The Ange at Tottenham Thread

A few pages back as I've been sleeping. I thought it was clear Ange left Australia as he was sick of all the hounding by the media.

I'm not sure if I feel he isolated us. At the same we were pretty frustrating with his selections and style. The back 3 switch was hardly working. In hindsight it worked out very well for himself. I do wish he'd at least gone to Russia but he was simply fed up.

Levy is a snake but now it should be all about appropriate depth in each position. Ange has adapted here and there and just hopefully the injury curse will lower next season. Also, this squad has just won a title in that ragged condition. Imagine the wind in their sales not to mention all those who missed out wanting to prove something and a lot of the very young players have been well blooded this year.

I would like to personally congratulate the Greek community of Melbourne for winning this low hanging fruit of a soft trophy (37th in Europe, yay!) and finishing 17th in the Premier League in Spurs worst ever season. Ange couldn't have done it without you.

However to all the anglos basking in pride, you are the reason he left Australia and why he has a chip on his shoulder. He didn't do this for you, he did this in spite of you.

I ALWAYS win things in my second season.

It's amazing him that achievement today depended - amongst many other things - on an athletic mid-air save on the goal line by Van de Ven. Not saying that as a criticism - it's the reality of sport - but the chance of Ange not winning in this second season depended on so many fine margins that could have gone either way.

word around town was that its a was case of "jump before you get pushed" .... he did have some close friends in the inner sanctum despite the NSW mafia control of FFA then and now.

Are you sure about that fraud? Your opinions flip flop almost daily to serve your bigoted, horrid, spineless agendas.
nobody in England is calling this guy Greek. All the pundits and fans refer to him as Australian. All the jokes they make about him are of an Australian flavour...eg Thick Dundee, Aussie Idealess... jokes about Rolf Harris, Kylie Minogue and shrimps on barbies

in England people are referred to by their nationality first, not their ethnicity. But don't let that colour poor Jussie's obsessive victimhood mentality.

Wow, its almost as if you have watched football before. Fine margins you say eh? Revolutionary...

my opinions are consistent

what you seem to have difficulty doing is holding two thoughts in your head at the same time

the poms consider him Aussie, Ange considers himself Greek

Turn the lights down low in that bunker, have a break from the gimp suit today, put Chris De Berg’s Lady in Red on repeat and have a nice lie down Loopy.
