Got to say the history of Goodison is epic more so how LFC came to be
Last couple of games I have watched for the derbies have been some of the biggest games in the league calender.
This is good brief for those not knowing much of the background
Just shy of its 133rd birthday, Goodison Park hosts its final Everton match ā English football's last link to a bygone era will go with itā¦

and for the young uns how Everton/LFC soon after came to be :
It's a move that brings to an end a footballing story that began almost 133 years ago.
As Evertonians are quick to point out, it's their club, not Liverpool, that builds stadiums in the city.
The first was their original home, Anfield, developed by the club in the 1880s. Everton were the first English champions based at the ground, in 1890-91.
Were it not for local brewer John Houlding, then Everton's president, they would likely still be there.
A man fond of the bottom line and seeing a way to marry his twin loves of football and making money, Houlding acquired the Anfield land from previous owners, the Orrell brothers, and doubled the rent.
In response, a venomous anti-Houlding faction formed, led by board member George Mahon. Civil war broke out.
Mahon suggested moving to Mere Green Field, a patch of land on the other side of Stanley Park, off Goodison Road.
"When the idea of relocation was put to the members, it was overwhelmingly endorsed," says Tony Onslow of the Everton Heritage Society.
As for Houlding, he went on to found Liverpool."
I felt the same "nostalgic" feelings when Spurs moved from White Heart Lane - I have been to games there a few times due to no1 son backing them bah hum bug haha
These long time grounds are the heart and soul of Clubs but money is money they got to move on due to that, make more, bigger crowd revenue.
I don't think it recovers the same feelings new grounds, same for Arsenal another.
So glad Anfield has been able to go through improvements and Kirby.
This was regards to the Toffs last game at Goodison over the weekend.

One importantly is our own Timmy who is luved deeply.
This is what we miss re having a key player doing the business in top flight.
Christ he done damn well - how many games I watched in fear against him and yet deep down thought good on you mate.
He played 12 league games against LFC, scored 5, W 3, D 2, L 7
