The 48% growth is for national total audience in R 1-3 this year compared to last year, across 10 and 10play (not paramount). Have another look at the bottom of the image. I was asking where you got the 64k figure from for paramount?

I assumed the 1.09 million was for Paramount and we had played 17 games when the tweet was made.

So 1.09 / 17 = 64

Round 3

Brisbane vs Sydney FC 8276
Wellington vs Auckland 26,252
Central Coast vs Perth 7,718
Western Sydney vs Adelaide 7,244
Melbourne Victory vs Macarthur 11,087
Western United vs Melbourne City 4,325

Average: 10,817
Season average: 11,260

MV vs Mac
11,087

Could be much better but considering it's possibly the worst fixture of the season it's a fairly predictable number. I was actually expecting sub 10k on this one.

Bit of context for anyone outside of Vic. Today is a public holiday (first Tuesday of November every year). That means many workplaces will also close for the Monday or people will take an annual/"sick" leave day so they can have a 4 day weekend. This results in a lot of people taking the opportunity to go away. Some people take the Friday as well so they can have a decent getaway. Personally we went to stay with some family in regional Vic so my kids could spend time with their cousins that they never get to see. Weather is absolutely perfect so no shortage of people going on camping/fishing trips.

In short, scheduling all Melbourne teams playing in Melbourne this weekend is a pretty dumb choice. First MV Home game on Sunday arvo is particularly dumb. Maybe one game on the Friday would have been OK, but not both and definitely not Sunday and Monday.

So, 11k for a Sunday arvo on a 4 day weekend against an opponent with a very low number of travelling fans is a fairly predictable figure.
What’s the excuse for another poor melb victory crowd today?

So to someone who has not been really keeping tabs of crowd numbers, these seem very similar numbers to the last couple of seasons yeah?

Perth Glory vs Melbourne City - 7338
Although after that game their number will definitely drop for the next home game.

the decline of melbourne victory is a real shame
At the end of the day, they were still the 2nd highest crowd for the round, so can't really complain too much. SFC only managed 1100 more and their opposition is only 45 mins down the road. Personally I reckon these general numbers are pretty good considering the state the league is currently in and the cost-of-living issues many are facing at the moment. I actually expected crowd numbers to be much lower this season.
Anecdotally, this schedule has turned out to be the single worst season for me personally in the history of the A-League. I just worked out I won't be able to attend a MV home game until Round 13. Every home game I have something else on (weddings, milestone birthdays, interstate holidays, etc). Ironically, I literally have nothing on during the away game dates. Very frustrating.

Probably looking at a round average of around 9k this week. Crowd looks decent in Perth.
WOW.. Victory got exactly 11,087 in round 3 AND exactly 11,087 in round 4 .... What an absolutely amazing coincidence.... Im sure these numbers must be 100% accurate :P

Yes similar, numbers are definitely up compared to the first four rounds last season. Probably due to derby overloads in the first few rounds and strong initial crowds for Auckland.
I really hope Auckland can keep it up. It seems such as million miles away from the start to life of the old New Zealand Knights when the ALM began. they used to struggle like crazy for crowds. I do think there is a big appetite for the local NZ derby and it should become a good fixture that draws big numbers for quite some time.
