Ryan Reynolds-owned Wrexham set to face Melbourne Victory

What amazes me (not really I expected it) is now all these new dawners are taking the result of a friendly kick-a-bout seriously. Like its world class football because some reserve kids scored a goal against some youth team kids from a promoted League One club on a preseason tour. Now you're castigating football fans because they don't pay to watch this level of football on a weekly basis. Seriously...

I watched the game and it was clear to see the Wrexham players were far superior technically and physically than the local team, who really looked like part timers. Obviously Wrexham don't have their patterns together at this stage of pre-season. Most of that first half was played in Sydney FC's half as they settled into a low block as they couldn't get the ball back.
Spare us your waffle and p1$$ off back to your AFL forum, pr1ck💡🖕🏼

Bitch please you were salivating off your mouth when it was 1-0 to wrexham then when they lose you change your argument to it being a meaningless game

The level of football that you're referring to lost the game to the level of football that won.
it was a friendly and punters paid to see the players they saw in a Netflix TV series. It was star watching.

Look, you are just a mindless twat, that argues like a school child. Now, fuck off to your school forums.
For a forum that positions itself as progressive there seems to be a distinct lack of inclusivity and diversity here.

Inclusivity and diversity doesn't mean that antagonistic fuckwits get a free pass.

I don't have much reason to do it, probably because I think it's irrelevant, but If you were to really pin me down on the issue of the A-League's quality compared to professional leagues in Europe and specifically England I'd have to say....

Overall the standard is a bit like League One, but you have some players who could easily play in the Championship, maybe even the Premier League and others who would be at the level of League Two or the Conference....

It's a mixed bag!

Why is there a huge variation of standards amongst the players. I don't know. You'll have to ask someone who has been able to professionally data-analyse them to find out if and why... .

As a layman, yes, it's slower paced than England but that's normal because here in the A-League they play in hot weather, sometimes excruciatingly hot weather but the quality is there and A-League players are getting scouted a lot and that means something, it means the league is actually decent and Aussie fans should not be ashamed of it, it should be embraced....
