English Premier League 🦁

there will always be smokies always.
No matter what people go on about the EPL being a pedestrian league of the usual suspects that has shifted some last few seasons imo.
We've seen the rise of Villa getting better.
The Toon have lifted - won a Cup after donkeys years.
Forest had a stellar season.
Brighton/Bournemouth/Brentford have stepped up and play good consistant football.
They have climbed above United/Hammers/Toffees - < these 3 really must recover this season for themselves.
Palace made their usual recovery run and even made EU if the courts fall their way.
City had a blimp season and you got to expect that after much success.
Arse have stepped up being fair pretenders.
Chelsea has been a lottery last couple of seasons but its looking promising this season.
I think we are going to see alot of smokies and surprise's - I even expect us/LFC to have some struggles being the top target every single Prem/CL/Cup games and expectations really put alot of pressure on us.

Current EPL theme just does nothing for me.

This one reminds me of heavy 4am eyes with 4 screens seeing all the 1am goals being replayed. Pre game version had Africans on a bike and Caribbeans on the beach.

The all time epic theme. This was after Ballack and Shevchenko were signed and at the tie felt like the league was going up a notch even more. Henry in long sleeves and gloves you were already down by 1.

Kasabian Fire was alright.

Matchday was just fine with this.

Were these all on in Australia I can't even remember but kasabian is the best one

The Toon Spurs game especially the 1st half for a exhibition game was good viewing last night.
Wa simpressed with the 1 touch football through traffic.
Very fitting for Son to play in front of his home support very fitting considering he has actioned to move from Spurs.
Good luck to him he has earned alot of respect in the football world has had a great career with them and to finish with a trophy is a perfect ending.

Zimbos's United won in the US a Premier League Summer Series tournament incl Toffees Bournemouth Hammers.
How you feeling looking ahead zim ?

Maddison badly injured in that game too. Looks like the Nurses Bay is piling up at Spurs and the season hasn't even started.

yer noticed re Maddison, yer not a great start.
Saw frank is testing young Gray up front.
Spurs actually played pretty good for a hit giggle game, Toon had them under the pump a bit but their counter attack - ball release and finding the space looked good, they'll need it.

According to Talksport Radio Manchester United has pretty much won the race to sign Benjamin Sesko over Newcastle.

So I'm going to slightly change my prediction.....

Can't say I'm super excited. Yes we got Cunha and Mbeumo, but I feel like we still havn't fixed areas that need fixing, not to mention we still have deadweight. We also spent a lot on just 2 players. We've only managed to get rid of Rashford, but what happens if we can't get rid of the others.

Liverpool have moved fast with their signings, and improved in massive areas. Chelsea have also made a fair few signings (I don't know how they fit in all the players.

I feel like we should have been in for Kepa, especially for just 5M. I know Arsenal has Champs League, but that should have been something we moved on before them.

I'm quietly optimistic because of the signings we made last season like Heaven, Yoro, De Ligt, Dorgu, Maz, but we also just a couple of injuries away from being shit again.

If I was a Man United fan I'd be pretty excited about this Mbeumo - Cunha - Sesko attacking trio....

Might take a season to blend but I think it's going to turn out very productive for United.

yes agreed - improved attack is one thing but the mids still need tweaking (all good Bruno/Mainoo) and backline well, much to build there to me let alone have they bought someone else better in the glove dept ?
I think the fight/determination will improve (has to) but its about having front to back syned and capable players doing the business game in game out.

Just read some of the details in the Sesko transfer. Newcastle apparently offered a bigger fee, a bigger player contract and more incentives to his agents...

Plus of course Champions League football this season.

But the player was adamant he wanted to sign for Manchester United. I'm not a United fan but it shows that they still have some serious pulling power when it comes to Europe's best young footballers.

just been hearing tonight that the Saturday early kickoff for the Premier League is also on Nine Network as well on top of Stan Sport according to NRL commentator Peter Psaltis confirmed that on-air a short time ago.

Makes sense really....

If you want to wet people's appetites to perhaps drive subscriptions then give them a taster...
