2025 Australia Cup final rounds thread

Football Australia take a cut from the ticket sales.

4k was the pre-online sales, then you had the gate ticket sales on the day, which is hard to determine how many were sold
It feels like crowds weren't getting this big until the later rounds in previous years?

lol... some things never change eh...... "how many did we get through the gates today?" .... answer "Umm let me check what we told the ATO and Ill get back to you" .... lol

Going tonight so hopefully a decent crowd
Get the mixed souvlaki, with all the trimmings ... enjoy.

Crowd may be a little muted, Bergers have had 2 weeks from hell, if they cop an early goal or two, you may have the place to yourself by the second half... and they'll lay the blame on Hellas probably... hahahahaha

it was confirmed by the club just under 5k

felt like more to be honest.
Would have been more if not for the weather. For context for people outside of Sydney, it had been pouring all week, and especially on the weekend. It rained heavily before and after the game, somehow the match was spared. And there’s next to no cover from the elements at edensor apart from the top of the boka stand which was designated to united members.

Not to make excuses for their lack of numbers, but particularly little cover for the away end designated to Sydney fc which is just a fenced off grass hill behind the goals

Hopefully a few wanderers fans get down, tough on a Tuesday night but their fans to their credit do seem to get around the cup more than some other a league fan bases

might i add, i was expecting more sydney fc fans.

they bought a lot more fans in 2014 in a midweek game, i'd say at least 2000+

on the weekend they only had 500 max.

I'm picking Kingsway to dick Bris City tonight, and WSW to strong for HU. Gonna put money on Auckland cream pieing Sth Melb tomorrow.

As I say, overshadowed by the a league v npl matches, but imo Avondale v APIA is a very interesting match, genuinely unsure how it’ll go. And again, the winner has a really good run to the final playing the winner of Brisbane city and Olympic kingsway at home, only having Macarthur and Newcastle on their side of the draw off the top of my head etc

Correct me if I’m wrong but Avondale didn’t play on the weekend coz of south’s involvement in the dockerty cup. While APIA lost away in a derby to Marconi. That plus playing at home should be a big advantage for what’s already a very strong Avondale
