NoMates addressed this sometime back in a thread somewhere - he has some affinity with particular clubs and NZ, likes a few clubs in the same leagues, supports any team he sees as worthy of his attention or that he feels some link to.

Genuine football fan but just not a one club runner.

One day I hope to have my team back in his good books too.
