The Melbourne Victory Thread

I said months ago after talking with people in the club that they had plenty of people with cash waiting in the wings.

Personally I don’t k ow much about him or what his end game is. But I am guessing his end game is not investing in duds and losing money

If he is a gambling man let’s hope he has the approach of David Walsh at Mona Tasmania 😂

can I ask why?
It's the back of 777 partners who had frozen investment money they'd agreed to provide. That means we're immediately better off financially.

We now have access to the best analytics in football. Access to his professional network. I hope that helps us be a better run club.

I'm not keen how he made his money but it's hard not to be excited by his involvement given the way he has succeeded at Brighton.

I don't think there was ever any doubt about the value of Victory ... its some of the other licenses that the APl can't flog off for love or money.

Fair enough ditching 777 is a massive plus .. Im personally not a fan of these mini-me multi club ownership groups (or any form of multi club ownership tbf ... and YES this includes Liverpool btw) but as long as he invests in your club and doesnt just pull value out of it ... good luck.

You know it makes sense:

I think you can definitely reshape the white V on the logo to look like seagull wings. Reckon that would work well.

Great news for Melbourne Victory or it is seagulls now.

Can you have 2 nicknames? Melbourne Victory and Seagulls? I'd be OK with it as long as they don't tamper with the home kit. You would hope that if Tony Bloom ends up buying a bigger stake in the club going forward, that he accepts the home kit cannot be altered (he can do whatever he wants with the away kit).

Wouldnt look too bad having navy blue and white stripes .....

All jokes aside, I reckon we are due for a new logo. Fonts have always been terrible on the current one. Don't need to re-invent the wheel, the concept of a shield shape with a white V is fine, just need to simplify things a bit. Drop the words from the logo and just have a small M.V.F.C.
