Adelaide v Sydney should be the game of the round. Both teams lacking positive results. A win from SFC puts them into the 6.
Premiership race could become very interesting after this round. MC and WU should be able to win their games and further close that gap. If WSW beats Auckland it would close that gap even further.

We are so susceptible to a good cross onto an attacking head in the 6 yard box and Macarthur has shown they can do that well.

I fear the game will be decided in the air and not our way.

Our only 'safe' chance is to score a few before they score any then ride the white knuckle train home.

possible disaster APL incoming very soon as it stands all three Victorian clubs in both A League Women and A League Men would earn their right to host finals way it stands during the respective playoffs.

and also one Western United supporter told me Saturday Night after Vuck-Adelaide game that any finals matches involving its menโ€™s team will be very likely be at AAMI Park hence hold on to youโ€™re socks next few weeks.

we know top two A League Women which are Melbourne City & Melbourne Victory they will host second leg semi final (same weekend as A League Men finals kickoff).

A League Women grand final is locked in for (same weekend as A League Men semi final 1st leg) very likely standalone going off past years.

plus other thing APL will have to consider as well that if Sydney FC get thru to ACL Two final which would be in Sydney (East region to host the decider) as well itโ€™s going to be held same weekend A League Men semi final 1st leg.

other thing if Melbourne City girls make A League Women's decider needs to be either Friday or Saturday prior to its Women's Asian Champions League semi final match on May 21st to be played at a neutral venue to factor in.

and remember other thing to be factoring it for the remaining rounds that if Auckland FC all likelihood do win A League Men premiers plate that they are ineligible to play ACL Elite due to fact their NZ club hence why second place team will very likely qualify for next season's ACL Elite as top ranked Australian based club all to play for now.

This would have to be correct. I can't see them playing any finals at Ironbark, regardless of the opponent. Obviously the chances of a WU/MV or WU/MC final are very high in which case AAMI would be a must to maximise ticket sales.

If Sydney don't win this match then finals can be kissed goodbye. I'm surprised the coach isn't under any pressure at Sydney. It's been a terrible season by Sydney Fc standards.

I'm not a SFC fan at all, however Talay has done well to some extent, He's got the club into the semi final of the ACL2 and also played a lot of kids through the season that have done well. Unlike the coaches before him that wouldn't touch a kid unless there over 30. The team is lacking in defense and do concede goals, however they score a lot too. I'm sure next season he will fix this. Win or lose the guy is not afraid to play kids in key roles and that makes him a alright by me.

I'll agree with all of that. I'm a huge fan of playing the youth and it makes good business sense for the club in the short and long term from an administrative perspective. It's probably that Sydney have gone well in the ACL2 comp that has saved Talay's job so far. If they beat this Singapore team he will have made them some serious coin. Big cheese at clubs like that.

I'm expecting a similar game to the MV v AU game.
Both SFC and AU are dangerous up front. So I don't think either will have a clean sheet.
AU has scored 12 goals in their last 5 games and that includes a combined 7 goals against MV and Auckland.
SFC have scored 10 goals in their last 5 games, including the AFC Cup games.
AU are in bad form though. Conceding 17 goals in the last 5 games.
SFC should win this one, but my gut says draw.

Losing Matthews and JGR has left a big hole in defense.

I went to a game a few years ago. There was a guy on the bridge selling pumpkin seeds. I found that pretty exciting.
Is that the same old bloke that sells peanuts and pistachios? He seems to be at all sporting events in Melbourne.
