2025 NPL attendance and viewers

Quite clearly I am missed.
No, we removed your statue last season ... there is no trace of you left... lol

Do what you want dude... I dont know how this pretend argument started.. Fact is many of the original apostates are now considering coming back into the fold... all are welcome (at least from my perspective) people make poor choice in life sometimes, doesn't mean we shouldn't take the high road and forgive them for their past betrayal.

Ummm wtf?? 34K streams..... I was told at the ground last night that nearly 4 thousand concurrent viewers were watching the match live ..

and I reckon that there was maybe 1,000- 1,500 people there ... not bad for NPL. ....

I wonder if Preston v South will give that a run for its money in a fortnight.

Actually will be interesting to see what we get next Monday as a standalone game again.

Our old school dormant fan base are clearly watching on the box but we need to get more through the gates.

For views maybe but attendance will be dire.

I'll be surprised if we get more than 300, half of which will be up on the balcony so the telecast will look like about 150 are there.
Preston game however should see a very healthy crowd... Friday 7th March, only other NPL football on that night is Hume and Gully both at home so should get a fair amount of neutrals coming down.

Will really be interesting to see the first REAL competition for Melbourne's sporting identity between Aleague and rest of football.

What are the Melbourne football family more interested in attending on the night Preston v South Melbourne or Melbourne City v McArthur? Old soccer or new football....? Should be a good gauge on what the future holds.

Can anyone explain how this video has suddenly lost 6,000 views? I'm sure this was up to 36-37k, now it's showing 31k!

2025 games honest estimate (what i've been to)
Preston vs Hume - 3,800
Geelong vs North Geelong - 2,000
Victory vs Altona - 400
Altona vs St Albans - 750 (terrible weather)
Preston v Altona - 5,000 (official crowd 5,400 which seems accurate)
Altona vs Dandy Thunder - 1,000
Not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not but I would personally have Dandenong Thunder minimum top 3 in NPL fanbases. Home and away always have good numbers

I dont know about top 3 (I think they are on par with Hume style numbers) but they seem like they have built a steady fanbase stemming from solid seasons!

No idea.. It was 100% on 34k views when I posted?????

Anyway, Bergers, v Preston with the pick of the round so far ......

I dont know what the Aleague Paramount streaming views are like but certainly NPL VIC is getting similar numbers as the A league YouTube replays.

These live streams have had a big impact on attendances, i'll put my hand up and say i've ditched a heap of games since everything started being live streamed.

tend to agree, throw in time poor and SWMOB.
Having trouble getting the freetime to get to a ground on the weekend.
Friday nights yep good can get there.
Weekends apart from our own games followed by the social commitments the boss has set up I'm having get online whilst at dinners/bbq's of late.

I'd fuck it all off. Only show highlights and Replays. Go to the stadium if you want to watch football.

I'm old school like that.
I was someone who hated missing games, back then i'd go watch other teams as well.

The temptation to stay in, especially in winter is far too great, if the match in question is on the other side of town even more reason to miss. Its a football feast on youtube, everyone has beem comfortable with flicking between games on the couch.

tend to agree on this but thats where its going.....
Like southmelb mentions its getting all too easy And I admit I have only just started since last season taking the easier route watching because its improved alot now and the ongoing commitments.
Going the otherside of town never bothered before but now I go F it, unless its a big fixture.
The cold doesn't bother me though for hey thats when we play and your rugged up.

Fuck that mentality. clubs suffer because of it.

you cant beat the stadium experience & the players love it too.
