A-league attendances 24/25

Alarm bells? It's been like this for 3 years
Also, MV crowd was still the second highest for the round and only beaten by the shiny new NZ derby.
I reckon overall A-League crowd numbers are gonna settle around where they are now for the foreseeable future. Might be a tad higher or lower but we are never going to see those peak numbers from 10 years ago any time soon.
Anecdotally, on a personal note, this is the single worst MV schedule I have experienced since the beginning of the AL. I am yet to be able to attend a home game this season and the first one I'll be able to attend will be on the 10th Jan. Too much shit on this time of year and I'm going away for 3 weeks over the break.

Maybe next year you can submit your schedule to the APL and see if they can fit you in.

yeah, for me the crowds are pretty much what they have been last few years.

If anything there is a bit more of a vibe as the Terrace is pushing harder now it seems

I know for a fact that the APL have penalised Victory with less appealing fixture times because we have generally been shit in recent years.

Some will say that’s fair. Some will say that other clubs north of the border don’t necessarily receive the same treatment (**cough ** WSW ** cough**). Others will say the biggest club in the land should be in the limelight more often than not to help bring more eyeballs.

Personally, what I find really strange is the lack of Friday night home games for us in recent years. We do have 3 home Friday night games this year, which is welcome. But I think that number needs to be higher.

Correct That’s my point, it’s been 3 years and the 3-5k more usual attendees - still haven’t come back.
If they haven’t returned by now, I’m not sure if they ever will.

Biggest club in the land 🤣🤣🤣

I think we need to start displaying which clubs you hate rather than which clubs you support because these threads are nothing but potshots at this point.

Feed the brox has given fair reasons to victory's attendance laughing at it is unreasonable imo. We all want Australian football to be doing better but the fact is all clubs are struggling with attendance and viewership.

But why would there be alarm bells now? Is 3 years the alarm bell alarm setting off timeframe?

It's steadied out for me. Can't see it going lower than this with a strong terrace and them all not throwing toys out the pram at the moment, maybe they will get an uptick

All you guys who support A League franchises shouldn't be so down in the dumps about your A League franchise attendance figures.

It may look bleak now but things will get better. Especially for fans of the Brisbane Roar franchise.

Once this rain dies down, the heat of summer cools off a bit, the cricket and tennis is over, the school holidays have finished and we can see there's definitely a window of opportunity before the NRL and AFL seasons start.

I predict Brisbane Roar franchise crowds will head north into the 7,000's and maybe the 8,000's when this window of opportunity comes around.

You just have to keep the faith and remain positive!!

Oh I forgot and the scheduling, they are going to have "get the scheduling right'.....

Remember POSITIVE!

If the a league improves you'll have nothing to say. Like the guy who came on here smacking about the FA we haven't seen him since we won the women's world cup bid

Sport, whether at a grassroots or international level, does not happen in a vacuum. It is embedded in both local and global social, economic and environmental realities. Needless to say, the sector is not discrete from one of the most pressing challenges of recent times – climate change. Sport has a vital role to play in tackling climate change. It has an unrivalled capacity to both be an advocate and lead by example.

In 2022, the FIFA World Cup Qatar generated an estimated 3.63 million tonnes of CO2e, of which the majority (95%) are indirect emissions, mainly from travel (1.9 million tCO2e) and accommodation (728,403 tCO2e) for match attendees in Qatar, including the general public, officials and staff.

One thing that the A League franchises should be congratulated on is keeping the fans away which very much cuts down on CO2 emissions....

Well done to the A League franchises for helping to save the planet!!!

So I'm guessing the low Victory turnout for the Western game is because it's not included on a Victory season pass, could it be any other reason?
