A great initiative to generate interest in the Glory & the league. Hopefully they won over a couple of thousand new fansIn regards to the Perth crowd, i have relatives that went last night, apparently every person that was a registered player in the state in 2024 received 2 free tickets.
Yes, well done PGFC. Most people on this board moan about a lack of marketing/ promotion, now a club has gone out and done, I reckon some will try and mock it.A great initiative to generate interest in the Glory & the league. Hopefully they won over a couple of thousand new fans
Let me get this straight mate, you follow/ support a local NPL club AND follow/ support the A League?! I thought that wasn't possible, based on comments from some of the other blokes on here? Some really good crowds yesterday:

Not so great for the coffers of the club though... hope the experiment works out for them.A great initiative to generate interest in the Glory & the league. Hopefully they won over a couple of thousand new fans

I think its a great move.... its what the Womens AFL did to start boosting their crowd figures when they launched .... it has failed spectacularly for them, lets hope it works better for Perth.Yes, well done PGFC. No... it all has to do with attendance, if you just want to find out how many people the APL claim to have attended there are plenty of resources on google....I'm getting a bit frustrated with this thread. I'm having to read past a lot of posts to get to crowd figures at weekly AL games.
There are some other guys on here engaged in a different football conversation. It is an interesting football convo per se, but can you take it to another thread, please? It is derailing the crowds in attendance at weekly A L games - probably inadvertently on your part.
anything is possible its not comments from others that challenges that mind setLet me get this straight mate, you follow/ support a local NPL club AND follow/ support the A League?! I thought that wasn't possible, based on comments from some of the other blokes on here?
Maybe it's the game. I was once taken to an AFL match, Sydney v Hawthorne for free years 10-20 years ago, some chick kept calling out 'go Cindy', yeah confused me, if I could left at halftime & not upset my host I would have.I think its a great move.... its what the Womens AFL did to start boosting their crowd figures when they launched .... it has failed spectacularly for them, lets hope it works better for Perth.
Considering the huge disconnect between the amount of registered players and their interest in top flight football in this country I guess making them aware of it isn't a bad thing. Depends if they expect free tickets all the time now.In regards to the Perth crowd, i have relatives that went last night, apparently every person that was a registered player in the state in 2024 received 2 free tickets.
You got a free ticket to a men's AFL game??? wow that is pretty rare.... Your host must have paid for it....Maybe it's the game. Instead I stayed till end of game & my lasting memory was 'go Cindy'.
Not at all, we used to get them all the time in the early nineties from a journalist friend of ours. You got a free ticket to a men's AFL game??? wow that is pretty rare.... Your host must have paid for it....
cool so it works then (I assume once the freebies dried up you continued to support?)Not at all, we used to get them all the time in the early nineties from a journalist friend of ours.
Not for me it never. I would say it did work overall as most Swans games are pretty much sell outs these days.cool so it works then (I assume once the freebies dried up you continued to support?)
If Perth can even get 10% of the Sydney swans success, the Aleague may just be saved....
MV in town.what is the cause in perth and ccm doing better this week?
