Talay must be on notice despite Sydney scraping back to get a arsey draw ( lol@Adelaide ) . The insistence of everyone pushing forward all at once all the time when in possession means the goals being let in are racking up to ridiculous levels every game now. The much vaunted early in the season press and counter press I'm not seeing anymore and as a matter of fact the league is using Talay's tactics against him quite successfully. No steel in midfield, teams breaking through easily, oodles of space for opposing players wide men, Sydney are bleeding goals despite their obvious ability to score some themselves. Things have to change. It's farcical to watch from a tactical perspective.

AU did well bringing in Folami, Vriends, Goodwin and Pierias during the off season. They need a goalkeeper though - hopefully one of the young local lads can step up.

Never rated Folami at MVC but this season I am reconsidering it. Goodwin was always on the up and his move to AU has improved him as well.

AU had loads of luck yesterday both in defence and in attack. SFC were unlucky hitting the woodwork. But you are right, their midfield has become jelly - at times I had to remind myself that Caceres was actually on the field. Their right side is completely missing. Not sure about their injury list but Talay will need to be ruthless in the coming weeks.

Yep no defensive mid and backline is suss as. Jnr poppa to raw as well.
The easy breakdown the right flanks for Adelaide was walk in the park.
Costa only one getting ball in danger zone all 2nd and scoring plus assist otherwise no arsy draw.

And Costa playing the same position as Lolley has not helped
 
Auckland have managed to mix their families with the young blokes in their active. I think that's important and will go a long way in keeping their attendance up
 
Love watching Western - Aloisi playing a lot of young Aussies & a great brand of football - controlled in the middle by Thurgate, who's massively underrated
 
Hingert is so fucking shit it's not even funny anymore!!! Time to retire O'Shea - one of the best players over the last few years, but he's flopped this season. Zimerino should never be allowed to wear a Roar jersey again. Zadkovic start Zimerino over Brazete is a massive fail
 
Everyone must be at the game or at their Xmas party?!! Really looking forward to this one. Arzani & Piscapo starting together should be a cracker

Hill reminds me of my teaching at times. You go in totally ready to keep your high standards but if the other side don't reciprocate, you doze off. Hill has had good commentary of decent games of late.
