Dumb question here but why is 'Lachy Rose" Not referred to as 'Rose'?

I understand it's his first name and sometimes commentators use the first and last name but he literally has 'LA.ROSE' on his shirt.

Just to clarify, when Lachlan Rose played for McArthur bulls they was also another L Rose (Liam) playing for them so Lachlan had LA added on the back of his shirt . When he went to Newcastle Jets he kept the LA so basically just a wank.

Jets are a good side; defend well and had more determination to score than Adelaide. Clough had a poor game as did Goodwin against his old club. AU need a taller, stronger centre forward. Was a cold night in the Mario Bailetti stand where I was.

An interesting game this afternoon between WSW and the Bulls, a game of taking your chances which WSW did after they conceded and the Bulls didn’t.

Assuming Germain was suspended? He was a loss for them today as their other striker couldn’t take the chances he was offered.

Regardless it will be a tight battle for the top 6 towards the end of the season, it should be very intriguing with plenty to play for.
