ALM TV Ratings

I know some people aren't beer drinkers and that's fine. What blows my mind is people, like my wife, who outright dismisses it wholesale when the flavours run from the non-existent, like Great Northern, to the beautiful creamy black goold of Guinness and everything in between.

Massive fan of this hazy IPA trend that's been ongoing for quite a while.
I admit to being a bit of a philistine when it comes to beer... Nothing too hoppy or fruity for me thanks .... Nice, crisp and cold are my only requirements :)

The lovely spirit shelf, however, gets a bit of a beating :)

As I don't much care for the ancient TV ratings system, I for one am happy this thread is now the lets-fight-about-beer thread.
I really couldn't care less what people choose to drink. Different strokes and all that.
Personally I don't mind a craft beer. Some are utter rubbish, some are great, and a bunch are somewhere in between. I find the high 8+% ones are not enjoyable at all. If I wanted a stronger drink I'd have a good whisky.
As for the (insert whichever default generic beer is popular in your city), they all taste the same. That's right I said it. VB, XXXX, Tooheys, Great Northern, etc, all taste exactly the same. I don't care for them, but I'm not against them either. On occasion I'll grab a Draught at a pub when I just want a beer with my burger and don't feel like spending $16 on one drink.
Really don't understand these Zero beers though. Have a Coke.

Agree 100%.

Anything over 6% is getting into dodgy territory. Anything over 7% is in dodgy territory and don't even order an 8%.

Have had a few zero beers. They're good because they're not sweet. That's the advantage.

Also, I'm not a beer snob. Will happily drink 6 schooners of New if I'm out with some lads. (Also agree that with all of those mass produced ones there's a struck match between them. Would venture 95% of blokes wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a blind tasting.)

Twice as many people watched AFL as watched Australia’s men’s national team FFS! And almost the same watched NRL instead. These figures graphically illustrate football’s standing in Aus and what football is up against…….

Maybe - but I wonder how many football supporters are used to using P+. That's certainly the way I watched it.

I had all 3 on but I thought the Roos game was just on P+.

I was at work last night and it was depressing how many people were watching AFL game and not the Roos.

We won't get back into mainstream until we have a few guys playing in higher leagues. People want to see the best so they watch the best afl and Nrl players
