There's an interview with Frank Lampard on Optus Sport where he talks about Raphael and how he really rates him and wants to get him more and more minutes. Very interesting reading. I think this substitution today is part of that plan by Lampard.

Lol would not suit being an inverted fullback at all! He prefers to be the player furthest on the outside either taking his man on around the outside or crossing. He needs to play in a system which utilises overlapping fullbacks instead of underlapping fullbacks like angeball

But he scored a heel goal while on the floor at Frankfurt which seemingly had him nailed on for glory. His midfield starts for Frankfurt always saw him struggle as he was played deep. He scored a penalty in a European final.

While his attitude has been deeply discussed, it's also the ridiculous destinations he's chosen to go. I find our players disappear and don't get enough credit it Italy, especially with those big benches. He should have gone to Switzerland and been a big fish in a small pond.

Some injuries haven't helped. Verona were ridiculous is their squad size which makes it only a lot harder to get minutes and impress.

Triantis played 92 minutes on a yellow in a Hibs cup win.

He and Iredale getting much recent love from the Hibees. I suspect Triantis will certainly be picked for the next NT matches but I wouldn't mind having a look at Iredale given the Hibs enthusiasm for his ability.

Yep Bos would running into no space and low blocks, I don't think Udogie suits his system either.

There's a good chance Iredale will be picked. Popovic picks 10 defenders in his squads.

LWB: Bos, Behich
LCB: Rowles, Iredale
CB: Burgess, Mathews
RCB: Geria, Degenek (or Deng)
RWB: Miller, Strain

That's not what I'd do but close to what I think Popovic will do.
