I didn't realise The Hague is quite so big. Metro population roughly the same as Amsterdam and Rotterdam (according to Wiki) and much larger than Eindhoven.

I feel it's the respectful thing to do but if the emergency services aren't hindered then the game doesn't really need to stop. Of course football is secondary here and I think the culture surrounding it has changed in that silence and room to work is given.

One could argue the seriousness of cases has increased too. They're not falls or fainting rather cardiac arrests and strokes.
 
I think also the silence etc makes the medical case known as there had been examples of inept stewards not being found or even communicating the medical episode.
 
matthews looks technically good at this level. Watching his growing areas - his aerial game and his conviction in challenges
 


the things he has to improve to help the roos you would think are simple fixes. So maybe its the hopium talking, but as a 6 ft 4 big unit that is technically decent and has a good long pass in him, maybe he can make the loss of souttar hurt less
