Karacic played a full match, bench for younis
Just odd Grant came in and no mention of Karacic. I guess local fitness is the idea. Surely Grant doesn't start again Saudi? He and Miller as our options is sickening really. The position we're worst at survives due to the formation. Just shift it to a back 4, start Geria and stack further up.

I would understand going with the back 5 Saudi away but think we should be more proactive at home.

It will be interesting to see if we continue to struggle to create chances vs Saudi with the 5-2-3 like we did v Japan.

I'm very skeptical about it's offensive merits v strong opponents. It's almost rolling the dice on a bit of luck in the front third.

Volpato was selected for Italy U21 this week. He was also Sassuolo player of the month, I think.
brad smith was in englands u21s, it is a much lower standard than the nt so i think its unlikely. If he is super unlucky he might be good enough to get caplocked with a few cameos but not good enough to be a regular.

McGree is on the bench for Boro. D'Arrigo bench for Gdansk. Baccus starting for Mansfield.

Mcgree must be a cotton wool thing

Middlesborough over the past 2 seasons get around 1 point per game more when mcgree starts

Im actually more worried about robbo than volpato. Volpato is much less likely to be picked for italy than robbo for scotland/peru
I'm holding off on Robbo for now. I understand it's his first match returning from injury, so I'll give him a pass this time. We'll wait and see what happens next window.

Irankunda not in reserve team squad. Hints of debut against St Pauli.

Irankunda in neither squad. What a tease! He must have been first reserve.

Just sucks how he has played for us. We know all the happenings since then but his words of 'doing anything for the shirt'. Put it down to naivety.

Portsmouth lead 2:0 and Yengi is starting.

No Elder due to knock midweek.

Good news in goal with Bilokapic, Chapman and AMB starting. Appears Charlton number 1 either injured or suspended.

Goodwin starting. Strain and Nisbet going H2H. Apo starting.
