Aussies abroad 🌍🦘

triantis fails to get to an aerial duel and it is 2-0. He nearly scores a moment later at the other end

boyle with some really nice touches and showing glimpses of his old self this game

Miller absolutely copping it. He's just too far away from the player crossing it in for both goals. No danger behind him as there are many defenders but they didn't stop the crosses either.

Miller is one, who simply needs to stop being picked for Australia.

And Hibs.

Does miller get nervous in big games? He often has these moments doesn't he

To be fair on the second goal in a back 3 they do seem content to concede space out wide

Triantis with a nice headed pass for a secondary assist, game back on

Miller also won thr first aerial duel

Funny though he was pretty calm against Japan. Only the one suicidal shoulder grab in the box where the Japanese player respectfully didn't just fall.

Certainly, engaging in sports psychology may see benefits. Shaw improved his free throws immensely from it. It can't not help when there are certain physical deficits.

He also fell over for the goal exposing yazbek

Triantis is incredible. His ability to shield the ball when receiving a tough pass with awkward body position, then get either a foul or pass forward positively is really valuable

I am of course focusing on aussie players, the cbs missed aerial clearance in the lead up to the first goal was a much bigger error

That's right. The stupid milking attempt. In hindsight 3 players just had to close down and even foul. Miller first then Yazbek could've charged on edge of box while Irvine covered the cut back meaning he should've screamed at Geria to close down.

Hindsight but give a foul away there and the ball is at least dead until the next moment.

Balard Irvine oniell and metcalf are in better leagues, but I do wonder if triantis could nonetheless be good enough
O'Neill is handy but is a one hit wonder. Where the Ecuador debut poise went I don't know. Secondary assist in Bahrain friendly and some good distribution allowing for crosses against Saudi?

Burgess bench. No Luongo. Got to say I'm so glad Ipswich haven't had an injury curse. A likeable squad and I hope they survive not just for the Australians sake. Of course, they'll need to bolster as a matter or survival and that's the but where the romantic side disappears for me.

An honest hard working squad gets swapped out for an unrecognisable bunch of over hyped players. I'd like to hope they can do something like Brentford. Love the Mbeumo, Wissa combination.
