Breaking: In fairness and balance, The AFC have decided for Australia to have to play either Japan or SK in order to maximize the chance of Gulf teams making the WC.
 
I don't think we need to worry so much. Last tournament Uzbek A and Aus B faced off in next round.
 
Why can't or aren't we hosting such a tournament? You could have each group play in a city then have the knockouts in one place. Remember last time in Uzbekistan we had to go across country if I recall.

Just looking at previous versions of the tournament. 2nd place in 2010 and also Bulut and Gameiro absolutely raking in the goals. Both with poor careers in the end but the latter is AA royalty.

I agree. At least bring him into the squad for experience like we did with Mathews.

I'd also like to see Segecic over Silvera as back up to Goodwin on the left.

Just realised how big the game against China will be given the home crowd. What a great experience for the players. We'll know a bit more in a few days about pathways.

This tournament and the last been a noticeable jump in quality in our u20 teams. Not enough to qualify last time. We need to this time....it's been way too long...
 
Japan didn't need to overexert themselves but interesting to see was 2 goals were a gift and then a 3rd. Tournament football I suppose.
 
So if China beat Kyrg, we need them to not win by as much as we did, so that a draw with China keeps us top of the group.

They’re currently up 3-1 with 30 mins to go.

we also beat qatar 3-1 which makes things complicated. How does it work?
