Could only get the 3 min highlight package for the two games against Krygystan and Qatar.

Not sure if we were just more clinical around goals against Qatar - or - Aus controlled the game?

Also, I'm not sure of the backgrounds of the players that turned out for Aus? Haven't seen a team list - yet.

Was Youlley there?

I know Leonard, who has been a stalwart at CB in the Western U defence, and is only 17 is still playing AL in Aus. Why?

I think Kikianis from AU is playing for the under 20s. Don't know what criteria is used to determine who plays for the 2Os if the right age and who play senior pro football?

If Matthews is still 19 and Leonard is still only 17, they should have been there. I rate Kane Vidmar as a CB too, who is only 18, but his teammate Leonard is better ATM.

I think Zane Schreiber is only 19, and he was on the bench for Melb City this round. ZS is a midfield talent. He should have been playing for the 20s.

we had around 60-65% territory and around 3 times as many shots

You have to be born 2005 or later to play u20s so Matthews is not eligible
I would like to have leonard but esposito looks at least as good. I agree Shreiber is a puzzling miss

other players not there

1) Youlley (club won't release and getting minutes for westerlo)
2) Waddingham (same)
3) Peraic cullen (not sure)
4) irankunda (club won't release and getting minutes)
5) De Jesus
6) Caputo (just returned from injury)
7) Di Pizio (just returned from injury)

So our best xi if we qualify will be slightly stronger

De Jesus is young enough to play for the u 20s? Haven't had a good look at him yet, to identify strengths and weaknesses. I've had a fleeting look.

Not only is Schreiber a frequent AL player in midfield, but I think he has looked really impressive! Has superb technique on the ball, and is a rugged ball winner off it. Apart from Youlley, can't believe there is anyone else as good in this age group as a central midfielder?

Now I've had a look at the personnel on Football Aus website.

Can't believe Memedi ( who I've seen a lot in the AL) and Lucas Herrington, ( if he is the brother playing for Roar), were on the bench and not needed? Both are A L regulars.

Every time I watch Adelaide, Archie Goodwin seems to be playing central striker instead of Jovanovic. I believe AG is young enough for the Aus u20s too?

Musa Toure, I've seen before, but not sure of his current club scenario?

Quintal - I've seen him take the pitch for SFC, but have hardly had a decent look at him.

I think Paul Okon- Engstler played for the u 23s, but not sure of his current club scenario?

I know the name Daniel Bennie, but not sure of his background?

Archie is 2004 the cutoff is 2005. Musa just joined randers in Denmark and got occasional minutes in France. Paul okon has just started to get starts for benefica b. Benefica b is 3rd I. The portrugese second division. The portrugese 2nd division is probably slightly better than the ereste division so probably similar to breaking into the top 2 sides starting xi in the a league. De Jesus is 2006 born

Bennie (2006) was a started for Perth glory and has broke the Australian record for most games for an english championship for his age. He was a winger for Perth but qpr have converted him to a right back

That is very helpful and informative!

I was just looking up the Eerste and I think it is only a semi-pro league? Is Portuguese Div 2 fully pro? I'm delighted we have a player playing Portuguese Div 1 or 2!
