Really enjoy the quick compact play. Under Arnold and Popovic we're still passing it so far with the player running away from the ball so it's either intercepted or we're just flat.
 
Iraq seem to have things covered. 3 at the back against our corner transition play and 2 up top to hassle our playing out. Iraq clerly want an early goal to then really slow it while we tend to absorb the first 15.
 
The lack of press allowed that goal. Lazy letting him run into a dangerous spot. 3rd stupid midfield turnover too.
 
It's scary that we can literally see the Iraqi gameplan from the start, score a goal and then defend, and they will defend for the full 90 intensely. If they get a second... then uh oh. Now it's about not wasting opportunities

Yeah but we've only been in Asia for 2 decades so we can't know that yet.
 
Cracking strike but I'd expect a better trained keeper to parry that far to the side. Still, got to get the in those areas for those errors to occur.
