The supermarkets moan on about how demand has forced the to up prices. Their profits haven't stopped increasing though.
German beer is interesting. It's incredibly cheap compared to Australia. The greed of certain bars now though sucks. The same beer, at retail price is dirt cheap, what are they paying wholesale? Their overheads suck but it's also pure greed. Some have renegotiated and changed their line up. I hate tied pubs and when I come home to visit I'll try to have the local beers as I'm there. They're not Australian owned anyway but for Coopers.
