Its also parent's responsibility to not allow their children to smoke, drink, drive, do drugs, join the army, get a tattoo, etc etc, should we ban these laws as well?

What about chldren that don't have parents and are wards of the state (or whatever its called legally here), or ones from broken homes with very poor parental supervision?

I dont really know what that is? Is that some US woke cyber culture war bullshit??? Jesus Christ mate.... were talking about kids being dumb and getting into trouble and killing themselves.... Yeah I don't know. I watched that and it said it includes YouTube. There's loads of good stuff on YouTube that I didn't mind my kids watching.

A 14 year old kid wants to watch a history video, or a bike repair clip, or a recipe to make spaghetti or a million other things and they're saying they can't. Have I interpreted this right?

Khan academy is one of the greatest kids resources on the planet for example.

Going to be some pretty hectic times ahead.

Edit 2. Rumble gets a shout out as being a shit show. ABC did a story about how after Alex Jones was banned from twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and he migrated all his stuff to rumble he became more popular.

They have to be careful they don't drive all the kids to dodgy as fuck websites that don't require an age verification.

But then you have to curate content as to what's suitable (and they're not proposing that) and then that's another whole can of worms. Who decides that?

I keep asking the outraged minority for a workable solution and all I hear is "blah blah blah my freedoms are being taken from me".....

That Khan academy site is one of the best things about the internet and it's aimed at, generally, children.

I honestly don't have an answer dude... I guess the nearest analogy is the legal drinking age is 18 but we all had a sip of dad's beer or wine waaaaayyyy before that?

For me, someone can turn the "internet" off for all I care.... back to pen and paper and actual conversation in real time... :) Ill miss this place but
