Something of a traditional thread. Apologies apologies I say winter for the Northern hemisphere players and perhaps we can anticipate the majority of transfers there.

I can't think of too many. Mostly loans really. Ryan, Gauci, Peupion. We might see Luongo seek minutes.

Degenek apparently to WSW to get the ball rolling.

Surely Perth look at strengthening.

Buhagiar surely gone from Bresica.

Armiento might go back to the A-League after slowly getting less and less minutes in Serie C.

Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday are locking horns in the race for Australian teen sensation Thomas Waddingham, talkSPORT understands.

It is also understood striker Waddingham's transfer will net A-League club Brisbane Roar a six-figure fee, with the deal poised to be completed in the early weeks of the January transfer window.

Wow that's a lot of 'understanding' for a transfer link that then goes off on a Schwarzer, Viduka, Zadkovic tangent for a long time. No analysis of Boro or Wednesday striker needs.

I'd hope the Wednesday link is true. If neither link gets reported by any other independently instead of just repeating what's in this article, then it's just another fake exclusive.

why prefer Wednesday over borough out of curiosity?

Robbie Thompson said that our window opens and closes a couple of weeks after Europe so that we might be able to grab a few classy players from there who missed that window. Something like that...

Wadds definitely needs to stay in the a league a bit longer. Kill it here first then go overseas in my opinion
stupidly short contracts in Australia might force brisbane's hand, otherwise you are letting him go for free

I think he has English citizenship. Wouldn't mind seeing him at a mid table league 1 team that plays deck football

A transfer in Jan with a loan back for the season may be best for Waddingham and the buying club.

It depends where he goes imo. It's about selecting the right team with genuine playing opportunities.

Peupion for me MUST go and get senior football...no excuses and at 22 it is time.

Degenek at WSW would be a great fit, but anywhere back in the AL would be good for all.

Also cannot stand our best keepers sitting on the bench so would love Ryan and Gauci to go where the first team minutes are.

I assume we are in the bidding for Degenek as well, Burgess rumoured to be off to Auckland or MLS.

MLS, I don’t believe.
