Big Ange thread

I have been watching the a bit of the Portuguese League for the last couple of years on the Triller TV app. I hadn't seen much of it since the days of World Soccer on Saturday afternoons on SBS in the 1990's.

It's probably not as good as the big 4 league's in Europe but the actual style of football is very watchable.

I think it would suit Ange Postecoglou, the purity of the football is right up his street. And he'd have that great lifestyle aspect to working in Portugal. Especially in Lisbon.

Screw Lisbon. Porto is where it is at.

Lisbon is good TBH. I've traveled around Portugal a number of times. I'm from Porto, hence the bias though.
Ah! 😀

I take it Lisbon v Porto is a little similar to the Sydney v Melbourne rivalry in Australia?

Just with a more heritage cultural aspect....

When I was in Lisbon I got one of those 48 hours in Lisbon booklets.

There's so much history, culture and art in that city you're really needing 480 hours...

Lisbon city is sensational enjoyed it a number of times.
Like Faro my kind of place, beachs/golfing :) - Algarve on sunny days on boats is a sight to see and food no matter where in Portugal and rosso vinho thankyou very much.
They also play football ok haha
One son is visiting relos in Madeira right now - should have sent him there pre teens for football experience instead of the BS here but Mum couldn't let go breast feeding him hahaha.
Football u l next time get off the mainland see Madeira its sensational - landing by plane freaks some people out alone.

Madeira is amazing too. I spent two weeks in Funchal about 15 years ago for New Years. Festival, where they drink plenty of poncha, on 23rd December and NYE is unmatched anywhere on the planet.

Doesn't look like Ange can't get a European gig this season. It'll be on another calendar if at all. A year off isn't the worst thing but waiting for an October opening is another.

Hopefully Ange to Palmeiras. Manager contact finishes at the end of Serie A December. Gets a warmup with Paulista and then Serie A, Copa Liberatores all the while enjoying Sth America on Levy's dime.

Fingers crossed.

Worth reading :)

LAFC want him apparently, but would he be interested?

the longer you're out of the game the harder it is to get work

if MLS is the best that's on offer he would be wise to take it
