Cows have got Bird flu.

They should have followed by advice on a 10am start at the Steyne Hotel.

NSW beer on board is needed to win at Manly. Stop drinking 15 mins before kick off, plenty of time.

Getting thrashed round 1 is a bad way to start the season.

Hard to bounce back and it can quickly turn into a knightmare season.

Did I count correctly, 4 players on report already?

Excited by this season, definitely good enough to push into top 6

Sometimes on report doesn't result in a charge and sometimes charges only result in a fine.

Depth is the big difference, last season we would have lost that game with Kiraz, Hughes and Curran out.

This time last season our spine wasn't settled, Hutch was attempting to play halfback.

We were running on fumes towards the end of last season.

Too 4 is the aim this season, top 6 is a realistic expectation. I don't think we can win it unless some of the major contenders have major injury/suspension issues.

We don't want a Bradbury premiership and it is very unlikely that 3-4 sides will all have major issues.

I do think one of the top 4 will have depth issues, and we can at least improve enough to be best of the rest.

Depth is particularly tough for sides that spend $2.1B on a half that Misses Mutch of the past few years and has Mutch Misses in big games...

Solid win... Good to get the W after the momentum swing... Plenty of lessons... TOP 4 not out of the realms of possibility...

Wins in the first 10 rounds are like gold.

Depth is the key to keeping that momentum going.

We need to back up Round 1 with a round 2 win over the Tits at Belmore.

No easy games, but we laid a solid platform against the Dragons.

How long is it since we have won round 1 and round 2?

Without looking into it... I'd say... Some time... Tell me I'm wrong...

Funny... Watching this week's game, not for a minute did I think we have Shoes, Currant Affair, and and Kebabs to come back...
I was too busy drooling over Manncrush...

What were the odds on Mockstradamus not posting after a win???...
It is harder to criticise our spine after a win.

The tactic of starting Fish, then brining Hayes, Mann and Toups off the bench was a winner.

IMO if they are available Hughes, Curran and Kiraz come straight back in for DSF, Hayward and Wilson.

Wilson had a great game and Hayward didn't do a lot wrong, DSF was great for the first 10 minutes but Hughes can play longer minutes.

The downside of leaving out Hayward is not cover at dummy-half.

We could leave out Salmon and start Curran at lock.

Moz slightly unlucky to miss out this week, at full strength 3 more players join the unlucky club.

Sooner or later injuries and suspensions will mean everyone gets a run.

I would have Wilson in over Montoya surely...
Montoya might be better in defence and making yards.

A bit of a close call.

Most of the Dragons tries were scored on Wilson's side, but it wasn't Wilson's fault.

Kiraz might not be back next game.

Tits and the Slimey's big games for us.

Tits moved down to Sydney early and will be motivated. Defence is the key, don't give them room and field position.

Scoring points against the Tits generally not too hard.

Montoya and Wilson named Kiraz and Hughes not in squad.

Curran back Hayes demoted to reserves is the only change.

Hayes was great last game, I expect him to be in the side,

IMO it is more logical to leave out DSF, Salmon or Hayward.

As the weather will be hot and we are trying to win with defence DSF is the most logical guy to omit, just for this game.

Morrin for Salmon is another possibility, but CC likes what fish does in defence.

I think you are right about the weather and CC's opinion of who can handle the conditions and play the minutes.

Salmon is a moral. Id be surprised if he us not in the starting 13 come the hour before kickoff.

I like Currans heart but i think he is a limited minute player before errors creep into his game. Needs to be managed. Abit like Mahoney.

I think that we need Hayward on the bench to cover injury/ HIA for Marhoney and in case he needs a rest.

Curran was fatigued in the trial, but he can play long minutes in the NRL.

Ideal in hot weather is to have lots of guys who can play long minutes, then use them in shorter bursts.

Curran practically carried our pack at times last season when King was out.

I also expect Salmon to start, but I think guys like Curran, Hayes, Todd and Morrin are almost as good in defence and offer a bit more in attack.

Moz does need to become more consistent and cut down the errors.

I'm seeing early signs that Marhoney is playing with less agro this season.

I’ll keep drinking Coke thanks Abdo… oh… wait…
Perhaps some tax free PNG soft drinks under the salary cap might be the way to go…
