Chronicles of a stable genius - all the biggliest stuff

Sorry, not trying to be mean spirited but this will achieve absolutely NOTHING... Gaza is a strip of land on the Mediterranean sea, belonging to a country looking at avenues to boost their tourism sector.... There will be a Mir-a_Pelastino golf course there within 2 years..... I hope some of the hamas boys get jobs as caddies.

1. Palestinians need support from the general population in most countries to lift their spirits. The union movement is easily the biggest and most effective political entity outside parliament on the progressive side of politics. They love the support of the powerful union movement has provided to hold public meetings and show films.
I've addressed rallies delineating how effective Aus PAN and TasPAN have been in soliciting support, in terms of facilitating meetings with some significant movers and shakers in the union movement, who have been won over to their cause. The TasPAN and AusPAN members feel like they have no national governments in support outside South American countries. APHEDA ( union aid abroad) is doing critical work in Gaza to support Palestinians. The union movement, particularly my union, the Aus Education Union, have provided some big cash donations.

2. To take away Palestine's homeland, bombed, into oblivion by Israel, with weapons provided by the US for Israel to play police officer to their enemies, like Iran in the ME, is repudiated by Palestinians. There is support in the Arab nation for Palestine all the way from Morocco to Iraq. Instead the US should be offering to rebuild Palestine for Palestinians, and coerce Netanyahu, not to attack Gaza anymore.

Initially, I abhorred what Hamas did to Israelis in October 2023 and took many months to get involved. However, when Israel kept a genocide going against Gazan civilians, and hospitals, I joined the Palestinian support movement. The way many of us think of it, is a peace, or anti-war movement.

If Palestine had overwhelming military might, like Israel currently has, and did the same to Israel , obliterating it, we would be opposing that too.

Look even though I disagree vehemently with the views of Lupi ( banned for a month or so on here) and John Smith, about Trump, abhorring their views, I strongly endorse their right to express those views.

One or two of us, who are anti-Trump, have said some spiteful things to them. Of course they have been supported by some trolls, probably Vo2Max and Flying Bat, who I've put on Ignore, and only post to cause trouble and conflict. From what I've seen Loops and JS post, it hasn't been that spiteful to anti- Trump posters like us. If they have posted some spiteful posts, I haven't seen them to date.

Let us keep discussion respectful.

When you Leftist criticise what Trump intends to do, why don't you, in the same breath, criticise Hamas for what they've done with the money the West has given them?

Be fair. Surely this can't be as bad as what Hamas did with their aid money?

Hamas barely have any money compared to Israel.

I'm not sure who Hamas's military donors are? They have a fraction of the military hardware Israel does.

I read an Amnesty report, where between 55% and 61 % of Gazans recognised Hamas as the bona fide Gazan government.

@mono.. speaking of the Christian Kindness...seeing if Pro-lifers actually care about kids once they;re born

Many children have abnormal sex characteristics identified in pregnancy or at childbirth which are corrected more or less by choosing which gender to keep in a procedure performed at birth. Later there may need to be a correction again because it's only a best guess which gender to retain. i.e. you choose female at the birth, in puberty they start growing facial hair etc.

My money is on this common procedure being in that budget, but this brand of fuckwit is going to want you to think it's drag queens. These cases aren't cosmetic and considering what sort of life or prejudice awaits people without access to this sort of thing, it's outright aid.
If that is the case then I stand corrected.... and happy to concede the point... indeed I agree it is medical aid.

Wow - you guys did it! You finally stopped this madness taking over society! Inflation is now down, eggs are cheaper, jobs have gone up! What an incredible use of time and money.

No issue with your wish for peace or even the stance against Netenyahoo and his horrible fascist regime committing war crimes (both issues I agree agree with you on) but the "peaceful" Palestinians would do best to remove Hamas from their land first before appealing to the worlds sensibilities for compassion... I dispute your claim that the Arab world is on their side.... the lack of willingness to allow refugees into their own muslim countries is testament to that...

yeah man I know all that... But you really have to see the difference between "Christians" and fundamentalist drongo Americans.... Just like, Im sure, you can distinguish between terrorists and jihadist and normal Joe Blo (or Mustapha Blo in this case) just wanting to bring up his family, raise his kids and worship his god... Or even the difference between Marxism and just wanting a fair go and respect for ALL people...

We laugh at the turbos making accusation and assumptions of what we think on certain issues and painting us as communists.... making "Pro-Lifers" the posterboy for Christians is just as ridiculous...

Oh, yeah - I am really referring to the ultra-conservatives/fundamentalist/Evangelicals....or US Christians. Not painting them all. Just used that phrase as it's common.

10 too many. should be a zero tolerance approach.

You blokes and your obsession about this, virtual, non-issue is baffling. Of all the things to be outraged about this is where you direct your energies.

I stay out of middle east politics because it's too complicated and fuck all that BUT I will say this. (And hopefully only this.)

What did Hamas think would happen when they killed 1400 Israelis?

Having said that. Killing 50k+ people, and bombing the country back to the stone age is a fucking outrage. What a bunch of cunce.

How many of you would be among the 18% ?

I suspect the percentage would be far higher in Australia, given that our country lacks a sizeable conservative media.

Yeah, with those wooly-haired far-left marxists at the News.com.au, Channel 7, Channel 9, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, Courier Mail, The Australian, Sky News, West-Australian....
