That was a watershed moment for me, when it suddenly dawned upon me how the world's media could co-ordinate together to lie.

i.e. for Trump's inauguration, the world's media used photos from early in the day to fabricate that Trump had a smaller crowd. And CNN deleted the panoramic photo which showed they lied - but fortunately, it is preserved on archive.org

Why is this significant for me? Because, since then, I find that most people refuse to see evidence. When they are told the above, they don't care. And why does this matter? Because the most important thing in the entire world for me is Jesus Christ, his Father, and the gospel of Salvation for mankind. And time after time, I see people reject it for the reason reason .... that they do not care about facts and evidence. Instead, they just trust those sources that they trust.

Believe me, I hope I don't come across as someone obsessed with U.S. politics and vaccines etc. No, the topic that fascinates me is how people think. It's the people on this forum -- they way they refuse to be open to evidence, is what keeps me on forums like this. I want to be a student of human nature, to learn how people duck and weave when presented with evidence. Because that same refusal to face information that's against them is exactly the same refusal that stops them from considering the message of Jesus Christ.

Because the true God -- out of all the other spirits claiming to be the god - has given us evidence to find a way back to Him.

The true message of God is characterised by proof - facts and evidence.

In the Bible, there is no such thing as "blind faith".

If there were actually no evidence -- and no way to figure out who is truth and error in the jungle of everyone claiming theirs is the way -- then, when we each stand before God at the end of Time, every false teacher could validly say to God: "How was I to know, given that you never made a way to figure out the truth?

THAT is saying: Show me proof that a supernatural God exists - but any proof that is supernatural, for the existence of a supernatural God, is automatically rejected.

In seeking to decide what is truth - whether as a scientist, trial lawyer, or as a person searching for God - one cannot tolerate a mind that has automatic-dismissals.

Classic example: Muz's automatic dismissal is that, anyone who says the world is around 6,000 year old is automatically an idiot. Doors shut.

Classic example: Jesus' message, that Jesus is God come in human form, lived among us as an example, suffered, died for our sins, and resurrected from the dead. For many people, that's an automatic-dismissal. Doors shut.

It's not a matter of blindly believing that. It comes down to fact and evidence.

  • Among different religions, it's a jungle, each one claiming theirs is true.

  • Even in the so-called Christian world, it's an even bigger jungle, each one claiming theirs is true.

The bottom line is, God wants you to come back to Him because He loves you. And so, God has provided a way that is sufficient to know what is good and what is evil -- so that we can turn from darkness -- to navigate the jungle to find God in the midst of that darkness.

Your core false-assumption is that God will override human free will to make 100% of things turn out good, even when evil people perpetrate evil.

God's core character is love (John 3:16, 1 John 5)

For a person to be capable of love, the person must have freedom to choose. e.g. you cannot force a woman to love you.

Therefore, because God wanted mankind to love him, God created humans to have freedom of choice.

At the Fall, mankind used that free will to choose to swap allegiances by following the devil (snake).

To save mankind, God set in motion his plan of Salvation. This requires each person to turn from their personal evil, and come back to God. It requires each person to turn from their personal evil, and accept the offer Jesus Christ makes to them - Christ having died for each person.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ... And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil." (John 3:16,19)​

For all of recorded history, it is people committing evil from start to finish. Most people do not turn from their personal evil, and that has impact on the people around them.

Every person commits evil, and they self-justify that they are good people - that's you, me and everyone else.

Muz - you and me, when we do not turn from our personal evil (sin) - those sins impact the people around us. Hence, Thomas Crooks -- the gunman who shot at President Donald Trump -- Crooks did not turn from his evil, and it impacted people (killed one, and injured others).

Not an answer. If god saved trump by intervening ON PURPOSE, which is what you've claimed, it follows that he has allowed someone else to die.

It would be trivial for omnipotent god to have the shooter miss trump and miss anyone in the background.

If you're saying god had no say in either matter then you need to rescind your claim that god was looking after trump. Both cannot be true.
