I'm not a fan of Trump nor am I a political conservative. But the Democrats made a rod for their own back by systematically labeling Trump as a criminal.

For a Presidential candidate who incited violence while playing the victim, Trump was able to paint himself as the victim. And this platform he was placed on was exploited by his campaign team to the extreme.

When you are up against a base like Trump's then constantly throwing shit at him only riles them up and enthuses them more.The Democrats should have played down his criminality and attacked him on political matters. They should have bored his base with policy matters.

Whether or not they attacked him because their own candidate was a particularly bad choice is a moot point but they seemed to feed the beast better than their opponent.

Hence it comes down to evidence.

When a court refuses to take on a case due to "lack of standing", it's a technicality where the court says you do not have the right to bring the case - which means the court doesn't even place the evidence under cross examination.

So when the Media and Democrats tell you there was no evidence -- they're lying to you, in a legal and literal sense.

Now that Pam Bondi and Kash Patel are set to be the heads of DoJ and FBI respectively, it's almost certain that there will be a chance for the evidence of 2020 election fraud to be tested. See the Senate Confirmation Hearing of Pam Bondi - the Democrats are fearful because the game is up, and their evils will be brought to light.

It's a fork in the road.

1) If there was insufficient evidence of 2020 election fraud , then Trump is said to be an insurrectionist -- and you @Joparo are doing well to trust the Mainstream Media.

OR

2) If the subsequent evidence is given a proper hearing - and it turns out the Dems did cheat their way to the 2020 win - then Trump is the greatest president since George Washington, the J6 prisoners were the ultimate patriots who deserve the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and you, @Joparo are no different the masses who have made up the majority of every civilization since the dawn of time, being readily manipulated by lies, because your sense of safety is to follow the opinion of the crowd.

Two alternatives. The next 4 years will show you who you are in respect of how you, as a person, handle conflicting information. Do you test it by rigorous testing, or do you lump it as you having more important things to do in life, and generally just follow what the Media tells you.

You need to read the book 'Nexus' by Yuval Noah Harari.

It's the story of how information networks were made and unmade. From the stone age to AI.

The internet promised infinite knowledge but algorithms learned our secrets and turned us against each other. So watch out for AI!

Read some books man. It's healthy!

Boy are you in for a treat trying to debate that bloke with logic.

Coincidentally I'm almost finished a book by that bloke, 'Homo Deus'. He goes on a fair bit about AI in that. I've got about 30 pages to go.

Started well but became a bit of hard going in the back half.

Unfortunately it was published in 2016 so a fair bit would be out of date I'd think.

Is this Nexus book more recent?

It's his most recent. Published last year. A professor of World History at Oxford University.

I'm old fashioned me, I like to read, I like to read and understand the world from the educated classes. I'm not one for the you tube unless I'm after a light hearted old British comedy show!

Thought Sapiens was great but wouldn't recommend Homo Deus. It's ok.

I prefer Russian bot farms for my information on the world. (And Elon.) I like to believe the antifa and BLM supporters invaded the capital and then were unfairly jailed but then released because they're 'patriots' but then weren't they antifa and BLM and therefore the bad guys? I'm so confused.
