Wrong ! MacArthur only pay $1 per season on ground hire.

The UK also call the under age teams " Academies "
I’ve heard that’s an urban myth. It may have been true in the beginning, but I’ve heard they lose $10-15K per match because of their shite crowds. The owners have deep pockets.

My apologies. The Ustaše also known by anglicised versions Ustasha or Ustashe. Happy now?
Happy? Not at all.. Trying to brand a fan group based on your outside perspective of what you THINK they are is pretty poor in my view.

Almost as terrible as "embracing" a welcome to country ceremony representing one of the thousands of disparate indigenous tribes who slaughtered each other ruthlessly for the 10 thousand or so years they where here without outside influence.

The Secret Scout, think his real name might be Andy something? South Australian guy that does lots of work with NPL clubs and some A-League clubs. He often says “Macarthur are a rabble of a club, they lose $12K every home game”. Has a lot of inside knowledge of up and coming South Australian players and A-League player salaries.

It was widely reported that the songs they were singing were old Croatian WWII songs from that fascist group. I don’t speak Croatian but obviously people familiar with the language knew and understood.
I’m not a fan of the Welcome to Country, but like the National Anthem, it should be respected.
Not interested in getting into some kind of BS debate with you. Have a good weekend brother!

Wildly reported by who exactly, people who dont believe these clubs should even exisit let alone be proud of their heritage???

Thats the issue here, Its not a debate or an attack on you or your opinion mate... I dont speak Croatian either and think the Ustase were worse than the Nazis... The fact of the matter is that guys that DO speak Croatian on here have explained the patriotic nature of the chant and the flimsy at best connection with fascism ... anyway you're right, lifes too short.

Enjoy your weekend too brother.

Yep, definitely in the disabled section of the stadium. You're either one of two, blind or deaf, i think its the latter.

This carrying on of a small % of ethnic background Australians is getting tiring.
It’s been said in other posts here Or elsewhere there will always be something at a ground others don’t like but also they don’t understand it as well.
I’m not condoning it but nothing new here.

I’ve been at plenty sports grounds where people keep talking through the anthem or other ways not respecting it.
Just move on man.

It was a game way back in 2022, I’m not a supporter of Sydney United or MacArthur so I have moved on. I went to the game as a neutral supporting Australian football as it was the Australia Cup final and I thought it was interesting to see an NPL team against an A-League team in the final. I have no agenda, I’ve only written about what I saw and experienced. Calling me “disabled” doesn’t insult me in the least, that person has insulted and embarrassed himself.

Recent article that most of us have seen about Canberra men's & women's teams at advanced stages of getting owners, Dudulica indicating he wants Tassie to come in, in '26 even though they weren't ready for '25 entry (his words), does that mean in '26-'27 there could well be 15 teams in the comp?..
A season or two later, if Perry Park or North Ipswich Reserve (or both) get a serious touch up, we may have a 16th team.
I would not hold my breath tbh, we've seen very little or a whole heap of nothing happen throughout football's history in Aus.
