Just going back to this. Do you feel the same about the npl clubs representing their countries? Because by your logic we shouldn't have any Croatian chants or Greek chants at the football if we can't have the anthem

BTW, interested to hear of any Greek chants at the football, I havent heard one in around 30 years I reckon and I go every week. Only foreign language Ive heard in the past few seasons is at Hume City but to be perfectly honest I cant tell if theya re chanting in Turkish or just have really REALLY heavy accents C'mon hooooooooooom

Robbie Slater said on the radio a Christchurch bid is underway with talks to get Australian investors as well as current NZ one to make the club happen for 2026/27. He said a club in Christchurch is a more viable option then wasting money on a Canberra side that has little to no interest with the football public.

Which NPL clubs represent foreign countries mate? Im pretty sure they are all based in Australia, its only the Aleague that allows foreign clubs into its competition.. NPL is strictly about "Making Australia Great Again"

I don't think I have heard a national anthem at a NPL match (outside of Grand Final) EVER!!! Could you possibly point to some instances or tell us about your personal experience? This is fascinating btw...

Hence my please explain - I really didn't get where you were coming from, MSC explained alot that NPL Clubs are AUSTRALIAN first and foremost no matter started up by ethnics originally they didn't put the greek or Italian Croat flags down on their first local ground stating its Greece/Italy/Croatia etcetc just that it was for like minded people who ended up as Aussies anyway.
NO anthem is played at grounds that I recall as well, maybe a big tournament with international visiting club possibly ? but your train of thought is/was askew imo.
EZ's opinion was forget anthems all over, big events/NT games whereever if I'm right that I disaree with.
This was point nothing more but you tried to twist it around some kind of way.
