Thought this was cool. Always been interested or fascinated by transport networks and how it all works.

Big fan of Geoff Marshall and all his London underground work and I'll play regularly on Google Maps to suss the network out.

Geography and nature has it's great points too so feel free to add anything in that regard.

Forget the channel name but some girl has an urban planning YouTube which breaks down city blueprints and design. She thoroughly analysed the long tunnel from Times Square to Grand Central and where all the ways go and why it's as such.

I've always been one for the secret nook. Can't find them on Maps but there were these somewhat discreet brass entrances to Fulton St subway in NYC that no one seemed to use.

With pre smartphone travel I have flashbacks of random stairs, corners and things I always try to find again on maps.

Slightly off topic but very much London Underground related...

So back in the 90's one Saturday in summer a few of us attempted the infamous London Underground Circle Line Pub Crawl...

We were young back then...

Started off at 11am at Victoria, had a pint innthe nearest pub , back on the Circle Line to Sloane Square, had a pint, South Kensington, another pint, Gloucester Rd another and so on....

Time we got to Baker St we were wrecked. I think we gave up at Farringdon...

I don't know anyone who's completed it. There's 36 stations in all....It's likely impossible....🤣

UnStrayan. Order a pony instead of a pint.
The smallest beer serving in a pub in England is half a pint which is similar size to a pot here.

But drinking halves is regarded as cheating on the Circle Line Pub Crawl....

On this mapping there is 28 stops...

I did a version of this except we went on a Sunday and a lot of the pubs in the financial district were closed so we drank a pint at every second stop instead. Was an absolutely hilarious day out. Started at 11am and finished at 11pm.

I think a pint at every pub would be nigh on impossible. That's an equivalent of 1.9 cartons.

I just asked chatGPT how many pubs were on the line in 1998 when I did it and it said 27. That makes sense because no way I could've drunk 18 pints. 13 yes but not 18. Christ you'd be trolleyed after 18.

ooooh favourite bridges time?

Rio-Antirio is magnificent to drive over day or night:)

If I attempted doing something like that these days I'd be hungover for a week....maybe two!!
