Lion City Sailors Vs Sydney FC

I normally watch any football whilst the Mrs's watches her rubbish and in the comforts of home easy as getting on the laptop or mobile watch these games, great ceasors ghost I'll bloody be there boys want a night out and got ticks.
Maybe I'll be good luck for robbos/suthos team for they gonna need all they can get.

Klimala looks really underdone to be honest

Segecic getting crowded, volley OK but not getting close enough to goal in a wing back position

So many bad touches and underhit passes and mistimed runs

Really regressed over the course of the season

It’s woeful tbh for a critical 2nd leg must win game to date.
Singa obviously can sit back Caceras can’t find the holes behind for no one is much making themselves available and without costa at least trying to g taken them on there is not else creativity.
Float ball after ball in the zone easily defended.
Lolly does similar to less effect.
Seriously without the old costa not much to get excited.

3 games in a week for Sydney and it showed tonight, they looked timid and slow and didn’t really look convincing against a deep block defence with those technical players they had.

They could be in some bother in the a-league given their lack of form has come at the wrong time of the season.

I wouldn’t just blame him though.
Players need to take responsibility as well.
Costa was the main player to take them on more than most.
Dealing with a deep block is never easy but you as a player need to look to make a difference.
Caceras as much as I have rated him took till the late goal to finally run at them with pace taking them on and causing them concerns - like wtf did it take that long to lift a gear or 2 and lifting the gear add in the rest of the team.
Just sheer utter lazy play generally - sure some chances came and went but the urgency wasn’t there enough whatsoever.
I took my dose of finally getting to a live game after many years - will be quite sometime again as far as I’m concerned same for my grown lads.

So you'll be back when they are winning? 😛

What's the deal with football in Singapore? Some may recall many years ago the pre-cursor to Perth Glory, Perth Kangaroos, joined the S League and went through the season undefeated. Darwin Cubs finished 2nd - hence the league was not great back then. But now the Sailors are in the final after defeating one of our strongest clubs? Are they too becoming better than us?

We cannot beat a Singaporean league team over two legs.

Just demonstrates the local level of play is really poor at the moment and has in fact decreased over the past decade.

This is not logical response. A logical response would look at Sydney FC under Talay.

But I agree that the optics are deeply negative for the competition in terms of broader perception.
